Activision shuts down Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile

Delisted from App Store and Play Store

Published

You don’t necessarily need a beefy PC to play Call of Duty: Warzone. However, you will need a significantly large hard drive just to store the game’s files. If you’re running a limited PC, Activision has another option for battle royale fans: Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Well, had. Activision has effectively shut down the mobile port.

At the start of this week, Activision has confirmed that the mobile version of the battle royale game “has not met [their] expectations with mobile first players like [the franchise] has with PC and console audiences.” As a result, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has been delisted from the App Store and the Play Store.

Starting this week, new players can no longer install the mobile game on their devices. Meanwhile, those who already have the game on their phones can still play indefinitely — that is, until Activision decides that the cost of keeping servers up outweighs the desire to keep the dwindling player base happy.

Additionally, players can still enjoy shared cross-progression in the game. Also, those who log into Call of Duty: Mobile will get twice the points they had in their Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile accounts.

Of course, the desktop and console versions will still continue as is.

Capcom’s critically acclaimed, award-winning stylish action masterpiece, Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Editionis headed to Nintendo Switch 2.

The video game company has made quite the splash with its Nintendo Direct announcements, and the title will officially be on Nintendo’s next-generation handheld console.

This officially brings the definitive version of the demon-slaying epic to a Nintendo platform for the first time.

The Digital Version is set to launch in Southeast Asia on June 23, complete with an introductory discount. The Physical Package Version, meanwhile, will follow later this summer on August 28.

Capcom is promising the ultimate handheld experience with this release. Players can expect high-octane, demon-slaying action at an uncompromised 60fps frame rate.

In addition, the game also comes with an all-inclusive package right out of the gate — no separate purchases required.

The edition comes completely packed with extra character costumes, weapon variants, and the fully playable Vergil DLC.

Here is a breakdown of the massive bundle of content included in the base game:

  • Playable Character Vergil: Take control of Dante’s twin brother and greatest rival, utilizing his iconic Yamato blade with an entirely distinct, lightning-fast combat style.

Players can swap between four distinct playable characters, each offering entirely different mechanical depth:

  • Nero: The young devil hunter fights using his turbo-charged “Red Queen” sword, the “Blue Rose” revolver, and weaponized “Devil Breaker” prosthetic arms that can pull enemies close with the Wire Snatch ability.

  • Dante: The legendary half-human, half-demon hybrid seamlessly cycles through swords, dual pistols, gauntlets, and a weaponized motorcycle, with the ability to trigger a powerful demon form.

  • V: A mysterious, tattooed man who commands three demonic familiars—Shadow, Griffon, and Nightmare—to inflict damage from afar before finishing foes off with his cane.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance expansion announced

Taking hunting to new heights

Published

on

Capcom has finally announced a massive new expansion update for Monster Hunter Wilds during the Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase.

The announcement was accompanied by a spectacular debut trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, which is officially scheduled for release in 2027.

The reveal delivered a first look at the content-rich expansion, showcasing a mix of brand-new and returning monsters, refined gameplay mechanics, and a breathtaking high-altitude locale.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance advances the core story of the Forbidden Lands as the Expedition Team’s adventure soars to a new world set amongst the clouds called The Skybound Eyrie.

In this floating territory, hunters will explore treacherous islands in the sky and wield explosive new abilities that take the hunting action to literal new heights.

More convenient exploration

To help players navigate these vertical environments, Capcom is introducing highly requested quality-of-life adjustments.

Improved support elements available while out in the field and during active quests will make map exploration much more accessible.

The Seikret, your trusty animal mount, is also getting enhanced actions. Players can look forward to improved response times when calling their mount, alongside a brand-new glide dash ability.

This is perfect for leaping between the floating islands of the Skybound Eyrie.

Expanded combat with Boost Actions

Combat is getting a major upgrade through the all-new Boost Bracer feature, which will be available across all 14 weapon types.

During combat, hunters can temporarily gather energy directly from monsters to execute powerful Boost Actions.

Unleashing this energy grants enhanced attack power, a massive boost in mobility, and seamless combat coordination.

Furthermore, completely new attacks and combo routes have been added to the core controls, giving hunters entirely new ways to master their weapons of choice and dominate the battlefield.

The return of Elder Dragons and Master Rank

The challenge in Ascendance will rise to a whole new level with the arrival of Master Rank content.

New threats are rising in the Eastlands, and the emergence of catastrophic Elder Dragons promises to bring destruction to the ecosystem.

The trailer specifically showcased a hunter facing off against the iconic wind-wielding Elder Dragon, Kushala Daora.

Keen-eyed fans also noticed a mysterious silhouette at the end of the footage, sparking theories that another popular, colossal Elder Dragon from the series’ history is slated to return.

Nintendo officially announces Ocarina of Time remake

Coming in 2026.

Published

on

There are a few titles that an overwheling majority of gamers consider as an absolute must-play for other gamers. One of those titles is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Originally launched for the Nintendo 64, it’s not easy to play the iconic game today. But, later this year, the game is about to get much more accessible. Nintendo has officially announced a remake of Ocarina of Time.

Modern gamers might not realize the effect of the original Ocarina of Time on the RPG genre. Besides adding a third dimension to the then-fledgling Legend of Zelda series, the 1998 game also revolutionized the gaming world by popularizing targeting systems. That, and the refining of the formula in Majora’s Mask, makes Ocarina an essential in gaming history.

During today’s Nintendo Direct, the company capped off the hour-long presentations by announcing a remake of the game. Though the short, short trailer didn’t reveal any gameplay, it did confirm that the remake will retain the original’s more whimsical art style, as opposed to the realism put forth by the Breath of the Wild duology.

It’s not the first re-release for the game, though. In the past, Nintendo released remastered versions of the game for the GameCube and the 3DS. This is, however, the first official remake of the title for a much more modern system.

We didn’t know when the remake will officially launch, but it’s coming out within this year.
