As great as the Essential Phone was during our review, shipment delays and failure to meet expectations both commercially and critically have been tainting the rookie smartphone manufacturer’s standing.

The only good news to come out of this troubled development is the handset’s continuous price drop. We were already impressed by its plummet to US$ 499 last month, but the discount it’s been experiencing during Cyber Monday reached a whole new level.

While supplies last, the Essential Phone can be purchased on Amazon for only US$ 399 together with the 360 Camera modular attachment, which on its own already costs US$ 199.

That’s an incredible deal for something that together cost nearly US$ 900 when the Essential Phone originally launched at US$ 700.

As a refresher, this device offers a top-shelf Snapdragon 835 processor and one of the best implementations of the near-borderless design we’ve seen this year.

In case you miss out on this sale, the Essential Phone still retails for US$ 449 by default. That’s cheaper than the fellow bang-for-buck OnePlus 5T and practically every other Snapdragon 835-equipped smartphone out there.
