THE Michael Josh has reviewed every Galaxy Fold since the beginning. But, for almost three weeks, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 has been the phone he reaches for every single day.
In this Galaxy Z Fold 8 review, he is sharing what it’s actually like to live with Samsung’s latest foldable. From the size and multitasking to the cameras, battery, software, durability, and all the little things that become more obvious after weeks of daily use.

Summer in London, unfolded
A season of golden light and long walks, seen through the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra that opened right along with the city.
@gadgetmatch Travel has a funny way of reminding you what’s worth paying attention to. London certainly did. Sometimes, all you have to do is unfold your perspective. Discover the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: bit.ly/4wBFLf2 #GalaxyZFold8Ultra #UnfoldYourUltraPH @samsungph ♬ original sound – GadgetMatch
Summer in London doesn’t arrive all at once. It leans in slowly, through parks filling up on the first warm evening.
Our personality hire, Mj, spent his in the middle of that leaning — half working and half wandering — though the walking gave him away every time.
The season asked to be noticed. Golden hour stretched past nine. Streets that felt gray in any other month turned generous with light, and the city seemed to exhale a little, loosening its collar.
Most of it happened with the phone folded shut, riding along in a pocket, present but patient, waiting for the moment worth reaching for.
London kept finding that moment: A skyline catching the last of the sun. A crowd spilling out of a pub onto the pavement, laughing at something only they heard.
Each time, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra opened right alongside him, the way summer itself seemed to open the whole city up.
Folded, it carried him through the ordinary hours. Unfolded, it held the ones summer made worth keeping. By the time the season started to fade, that was the shape of the whole trip.
Closed for the walking, open for the light, and wide enough, finally, for everything London gave him to remember.

What if smart glasses could make you more present instead of recording everything around you? Check out MemoMind or back it up on Kickstarter.
After spending time with the MemoMind One around New York City, THE Michael Josh wanted to answer one question: Do smart glasses actually become more useful when they stop trying to be a camera?
In this video, we take a look at the MemoMind One — a new pair of AI-powered smart glasses that take a very different approach.
