We already know that Huawei is announcing a new midrange smartphone with a near-borderless display and premium build dubbed as the Nova 2S. With these live image leaks, it seems like it’ll be an international variant of the Honor V10.
The Huawei Nova 2S looks gorgeous in these images which were taken with another Huawei phone. So far, there are three confirmed paint jobs — black, white, and blue. It’ll have a glass back making it more fragile than the Honor V10, but as beautiful as the Mate 10 series.
Up front, it’ll have a 6-inch panel with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution. It’s also a quad-camera phone like the Nova 2i with 20- and 16-megapixel rear cameras, and a dual 20-megapixel front shooter.
Specs-wise, the phone will be powered by a Kirin 960 processor (same as with the Huawei P10/P10 Plus) with either 4GB or 6GB of memory and up to 128GB internal storage. It’ll boot Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top. With these specifications, it’s already as powerful as premium flagship phones.
According to the leaked info, the Huawei Nova 2S will cost CNY 2,599 (US$ 395) for the 4GB/64GB variant and CNY 2,999 (US$ 455) for the 6GB/128GB model.
The official announcement is set on December 7.
