Announced at IFA 2015, Sony’s latest set of flagship smartphones have arrived. The Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and the Xperia Z5 Premium all sport high-end specs. The Z5 and Z5 Compact are practically the same phone save for the obvious size difference and battery capacity. While the Z5 Premium has the distinction of being the world’s first 4K smartphone.
All three smartphones sport a 23 megapixel camera equipped with what Sony calls the fastest auto focus on smartphone camera. The Japanese company is also introducing a 5-times clear image digital zoom that’s supposed to be just as good, if not better than optical zoom.
Here’s a photo taken with the 5-times digital zoom:

Just like Xperia flagships of the past, the Xperia Z5 line is waterproof and dust resistant. And in case you’re wondering, we think it looks good. Sony has taken out the charging dock port which wasn’t exactly a sight to behold.
The Xperia Z5 also adds a finger print scanner on the power button located on the right hand side of the device. The scanner works like the scanners found on other smartphones. Sony believes it’s perfectly position as this is where your fingers usually land no matter how you hold the device. Most other smartphones place the finger print scanner on the home button.
