When people complain that women are difficult, it’s not because we don’t know what we want. Most often than not, we actually do. What makes women complicated is that what we want is usually something that we would rather buy ourselves: a pair of heels, the perfect red lipstick, or a little black dress.
Although what truly makes us happy can’t be bought, we’ve come up with a guide on making the most important women in your life feel appreciated this season. Here are six gifts women will actually want to receive and suggestions on what you can buy:
The gift of beautiful memories
When we take pictures, it’s not just for the ‘gram. Photos are our way of immortalizing special moments in life; they help us remember. Make sure the most important woman in your life is armed with a smartphone camera that can capture memories during the day and even at night like the Huawei Nova 5T. The phone has four cameras so she can take photos from different perspectives: a 48MP main shooter, 16MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP dedicated macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. It also has a 32MP front-facing camera so she can take her solo selfies and group selfies with family and friends to the next level.
The gift of confidence
Jewelry doesn’t make or break an outfit; confidence does. Just like makeup, earrings can boost any woman’s confidence and make her feel powerful even on days when she’s feeling lethargic. Get her a good pair of statement earrings that she can wear either to work or to Sunday brunch with her best girl friends.
The gift of fitness
Motivation to exercise will always come from within, but one can achieve her fitness goals with a little help from her friends. Get her a smartwatch like the Huawei Watch GT 2. It has an impressive two-week battery life because really, who needs yet another device that she will have to charge everyday? It comes in a 42mm variant that fits women’s smaller wrists better. Not only will this help her monitor her heart rate and calories burned, it can also be her personal training coach.
The gift of style
The silk scarf made a silent comeback in the trend department this year, although we’d argue it never really went out of style. It’s a classic piece that elevates even the most basic of looks. Giving someone a scarf for the holidays is safe yet thoughtful. It’s a versatile accessory that she can wear not only as an alternative to scrunchies or headbands, but she can style it as a belt or tie it on her favorite purse, too.
The gift of me time
Women are nurturing by nature; we tend to put others’ wellbeing before we take care of ourselves. Sometimes, all we need is some me time and self care — a time when we don’t have to worry about anyone but ourselves. Get her noise-cancelling earphones like the Huawei Freebuds 3 to help her focus on herself and drown out unnecessary noise. Even if it’s just during her commute to work, being able to listen to music or her favorite podcast without distractions can make a huge difference in her day.
The gift of imagination
When we imagine characters and places by reading, we see with the mind instead of the eyes. You can gift a book about influential women, navigating womanhood, fantasy, or even a dystopian future — it will stimulate her imagination regardless. Getting lost in a good book is like going on vacation, only more affordable.

AirPods 5 boasts better ANC and sound quality for the same price
Right after the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max series, Apple dropped another bombshell for fans. Complementing the latest iPhone generation, the new AirPods 5 features a bunch of the most impressive improvements for the wearable.
Most importantly, the AirPods 5 will boast 50 percent better noise cancellation than the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. With Adaptive Audio, the wearable can sense your surroundings and adapt accordingly so you don’t miss the important bits happening around you.
It also features Live Translation for talking with others speaking in a different language. Plus, Conversation Awareness automatically lowers the volume if the wearable detects that you’re talking.
For sound quality, the new wearable has a new acoustic architecture and an adaptive equalizer. It promises more detailed sound coming from the entry-level AirPods.
The new AirPods 5 will start at US$ 129. Preorders are already open, but the wearable will ship out on September 18.
Meanwhile, if you’re hankering for a bit more from your wearable, another variant, which starts at US$ 149, adds a Wireless Charging Case, on-stem swipe controls, and longer battery life. This model can reportedly last five more hours with active noise cancellation enable.
