Microsoft is updating the Surface Pro X with a faster processor
Better performance and battery life
The ongoing work-from-home situation has lasted for a while now. Despite its longevity, ready-to-use workstations are still in demand. That said, tablets and notebooks are rushing to compete with another. As always, Microsoft is in the same race. Today, Microsoft is updating the Surface Pro X with a faster processor.
Much like last year’s Surface Pro X, Microsoft is teaming with Qualcomm for the 2-in-1 device’s faster processor. This time, the Surface Pro X comes with the Microsoft SQ2 processor. The new chipset will reportedly offer better performance and battery efficiency (up to 15 hours of battery life). Regardless, it still delivers new features including AI-assisted ones.
For one, Microsoft is bolstering the Surface Pro X’s camera technology with the Qualcomm-supported Eye Contact. The notebook also offers “enterprise-grade security” through all of the device’s facets — hardware, software, and firmware. It can also maintain an always-on connection through a Snapdragon X24 LTE modem.
Further, with a new 64-bit emulator, users can also use up to 64-bit mobile apps on the 2-in-1 notebook. The device is perfect for both mobile and home use.
The Surface Pro X ships in three additional keyboard options: Platinum, Ice Blue, and Poppy Red. All variants will ship with the same specs and the same Surface Slim Pen. It starts at US$ 999.
