Huawei is bringing the latest MateBook X Pro 2021 to Singapore this April. This thin-and-light laptop has all the premium features one can ask for, including the latest Intel processor and a vibrant, borderless display.

From the get-go, not much has changed with the design compared to its previous iteration. Likewise, the MateBook X Pro 2021 still got that slim profile and lightweight build to the tune of 1.33 kilograms. It also still have the same metal body for a really premium feel.

The display almost remains the same too. It still is the same 3:2 multi-touch display with a 3K resolution and a whopping 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. That combo makes it a great laptop for doing productivity and creative work, as well as watching high-definition movies.

Other things that remain are the two USB-C ports used for two-way charging and data transfer. Huawei Share is also here as well. Even the pop-up camera is here to stay.

Arguably the biggest change here is in what’s inside. This time, the MateBook X Pro 2021 gets the latest 11th-gen Intel Core i7 processor with Iris Xe graphics. To be specific, the processor is an Intel Core i7-1165G7, which should provide ample performance especially in the graphics front.

Coupled with a 56 Whr, runtimes should be decent for most users especially those doing light office and browsing tasks. If battery life doesn’t suffice though, the 65W charger should charge the laptop quickly. That charger is compatible with Huawei smartphones too.

Huawei is also touting a new touchpad experience on the MateBook X Pro. The company dubs the new touchpad experience as “Free Touch”, featuring a full vibration feedback. Suffice to say, the touchpad gets modest improvement all around.

Price and availability

Huawei is making things easier for buyers with only a lone option for the MateBook X Pro 2021. The lone option has the aforementioned Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, along with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. This will retail at SG$ 2,598.

Every purchase of the laptop will also come with an exclusive freebie bundle worth SG$ 663 which includes 1-year extended warranty, a Huawei Watch GT 2 Elite Edition, a Bluetooth mouse, and a backpack.

The laptop will soon be available to purchase on April 24 from any physical Huawei stores or from the official Lazada and Shopee store. Consumers may also avail the laptop on Best Denki, Gain City, Courts, and Challenger & Haichi.tech.
