Canon unveils multi-purpose printers for home, office, and creative use
Here come the PIXMA refillable ink tank printers!
Canon Philippines has just unveiled its new lineup of printers and it’s looking to serve different users.
For home offices and small businesses
Canon introduces the MAXIFY GX7070 and MAXIFY GX6070 refillable ink tank printers, making high-volume color printing affordable for small enterprises. It delivers approximately 6,000 grayscale pages and 14,000 pages in color with just a full set of ink. Output can be pushed to 9,000 and 21,000 of grayscale and color, respectively, depending on the setting.
Moreover, the ink tank printers use pigment inks which results in water-resistant document prints on plain paper and a laser print-like quality. And it comes with features focused on productivity and efficiency such as its automatic document feeder, a front-USB port, and a modular, user-replaceable cartridge.
Additionally, the MAXIFY GX7070 can handle up to 600 sheets of paper capacity, while the MAXIFY GX6070 loads up to 350 sheets of paper.
On another note, both printers are capable of wireless connectivity and cloud printing, and let users operate the printers using the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY mobile app.
The MAXIFY GX7070 retails for PhP 38,995 while the MAXIFY GX6070 retails for PhP 31,995. Both printers will be available starting September 2021.
Push for creative works
Canon has also announced the PIXMA G570 and PIXMA G670 — 6-color refillable ink tank printers that focus on photo longevity and low-cost printing, especially for creative works. It prints at ultra-low-cost while delivering very high yields: approximately 3,800 sheets of 4×6-inch prints.
Its conventional 4-ink systems supercharge photographs, ensure consistent monochromatic accuracy, and enhance subject focus. Photos printed using the G series can resist fading for up to 200 years under storage conditions.
It also has a free Canon PosterArtist Lite software for easy creation of flyers and posters albeit limited to Windows operating systems. On the flip side, these printers are compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon for voice-activated printing.
The only difference between the G670 and the G570 is that the former has scan and copy functions compared to the latter, which only offers to print.
Nonetheless, the G series comes with a no-squeeze spillage-free ink bottle design and a unique power-saving feature for the environmentally conscious. And like other Canon printers, it can handle wireless printing whether it’s through Wi-Fi, cloud, or even the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY mobile app.
The PIXMA G670 retails for PhP 16,095 while the Pixma G570 retails for PhP 12,795. Both printers will be available starting September 2021.
Professional photo printing
For high-quality printing, Canon brings out the imagePROGRAF PRO-300 and PIXMA PRO-200 for professional photographers and graphic artists.
The new imagePROGRAF PRO-300 is designed to process large volumes of image data and print at high speeds, thanks to its Canon L-COA PRO processor.
It’s paired with a new LUCIA PRO 10-ink system that expands its color gamut on various glossy and matte media. And with dedicated nozzles for Matte Black and Photo Black, the machine switches easily across multiple print jobs.
On the other hand, the PIXMA PRO-200 uses an 8-ink configuration designed for expanded color reproduction. It also has an improved black density compared to its previous generations.
Both printers support a wide variety of media types and sizes, as well as the Canon Premium Fine Art Rough media made for exhibition-ready prints. The printers feature a 3-inch color LCD screen as well, making it easy to navigate, manage settings, replace ink cartridges, and monitor ink levels.
Lastly, the printers are bundled with Canon Professional Print & Layout (PPL) software that ensures seamless integration with professional prints, particularly with Canon EOS system cameras.
The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 retails for PhP 41,995 while the PIXMA PRO-200 retails for PhP 29,995. Both printers will be available starting September 2021.
