Fallout Season 2 premiering on December 17; trailer reveals New Vegas
Prime Video’s hit series based on the post-apocalyptic RPG continues
Fallout Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on December 17, the streaming service announced during gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live.
There will be a total of eight episodes. New episodes will drop each week until the finale on February 4, 2026.
In addition, a teaser trailer was released during the show, with series stars Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten gracing the stage for the surprise reveal.
The clip showed new cast member Justin Theroux as Robert House. Fans also had a glimpse of Deathclaw, one of the Fallout universe’s most iconic and terrifying creatures.
Lastly, the trailer previewed New Vegas, as the new season is headed to the post-apocalyptic city to pick up where the first season’s epic finale left off.
Season Two promises even higher stakes for Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul. It will take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to New Vegas.
New Vegas was first introduced in Fallout: New Vegas, which released in 2010. This freely explorable open world map features small settlements and abandoned buildings.
But in the series, New Vegas was teased primarily towards the end of the first season. It was where Hank MacLean fled to after being confronted by Lucy and The Ghoul, escaping in Maximus’ power armor.
The first season of Fallout was a massive hit, with more than 100 million viewers worldwide to date.
It also garnered 17 Emmy nominations and received generally positive reviews especially for its faithfulness to its source material.
Of course, the series brings to life the world of the post-apocalyptic RPG from Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky.
