Acer refreshes Nitro lineup with new PCs, displays

Rounding out Acer’s pre-IFA 2025 Berlin announcements are its latest Nitro gaming laptops, desktops, and gaming monitors.

These new devices combine powerful hardware, intelligent software, and immersive visuals to elevate gaming and creative experiences.

Part of the new releases are two new Nitro laptops: the Acer Nitro V 16 and Acer Nitro V 16S. Both are equipped with up to an Intel Core 9 processor 270H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU.

Powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, the 50 series GPUs bring game-changing capabilities for both gamers and creators.

That’s along with a massive level of AI horsepower to enable new experiences and graphics fidelity. There’s also the Acer Experience Zone for access to a suite of AI-powered apps when needed.

Moreover, the laptops support DLSS 4 and neural rendering for fast gameplay and image generation for creators.

Both laptops also have WQXGA displays with 100% sRGB and 180Hz refresh rate. The Acer Nitro V 16, in particular, has a dual-fan, quad-intake and quad-exhaust cooling system.

Both models also support NitroSense which enables real-time performance monitoring and the ability to fine-tune fan speeds for maximum cooling efficiency.

For connectivity, both have Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro and Thunderbolt 4 for fast data transfer and seamless streaming.

Acer Nitro 70, Nitro 50

On the desktop end are the new Acer Nitro 70 and Acer Nitro 50. These 45L gaming desktops are built for hardcore gamers and gaming enthusiasts alike who demand competitive performance and game-changing technology.

Both gaming rigs feature the patented Acer Nitro CycloneX 360 cooling system for 15% more airflow. The Nitro 70 also comes wiht a 360mm CPU liquid cooler for extra stable, throttle-free execution.

Added features include Wi-Fi 7, Acer Intelligence Space for built-in AI tools, and EMI-compliant tempered glass cases with customizable ARGB lighting.

Acer Nitro monitors

Complementing the new desktops are four new high-resolution, high refresh rate Nitro monitors:

These models are suited for just about any type of gamer, offering immersive visuals across a range of formats.

Particularly, the Nitro XV275K V6 features a 27-inch 4K UHD panel with 180Hz refresh rate, 1ms Visual Response Boost Pro, and AMD FreeSync Premium.

It has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and support for 97% DCI-P3 and 1.07 billion colors. This monitor offers versatile connectivity with dual HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4.

On the other hand, the 27-inch Nitro XV273U W1 offers an overclockable 275Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It is VESA DisplayHDR 500-certified, 95% DCI-P3, and has 500 nits of peak brightness.

Moreover, the Nitro XV270X is for gamers and streamers who demand ultra-high resolution. It offers up to 5K (5,120 x 2,880) resolution with a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms response time, and 95% DCI-P3.

Rounding out the list is the Nitro XZ403CKR, a massive 39.7-inch 1000R curved panel with 5K resolution.

It supports wide FHD resolution at 288Hz. This monitor also has a 1ms VRB and 0.5ms GTG response time, along with AMD FreeSync Premium.

TCL was among the exhibitors at the recently-concluded IFA 2025 in Berlin, Germany, and its innovative FreshIN 3.0 fresh air conditioner was among the electronics giant’s proud highlights.

The smart AC was honored with the “AI Energy-saving Technology Gold Award” at the IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Awards. This is a testament to the product’s groundbreaking advancements.

Among the smart features on the FreshIN 3.0 are its Offline Voice Control, QuadruPuri Filters for a four-stage filtration process, and Intelligent Lifespan Reminder. The inverter AC also features a T-AI energy-saving technology, making it more economical for homeowners.

Aside from the TCL FreshIN 3.0 AC, some of TCL’s offerings that were present at IFA 2025 include the FreshIN C7, VoxIN voice-vontrolled AC, SaveIN, Free Match multi-split systems, and Unitary ACs.

Key updates

In terms of research and development, TCL has utilized AI in crafting its next-generation ACs. There are three major product lines: AI health, AI voice control, and AI energy-saving.

In addition, TCL has established 11 production bases in Zhongshan (Guangdong), Wuhan (Hubei), Jiujiang (Jiangxi), Nansha (Guangzhou), Indonesia, and Brazil. These contribute to an annual production capacity of over 38 million AC units.

Elsewhere, TCL announced back in August that freestyle skier Eileen Gu has been appointed global brand endorser.

The development makes her part of the company’s “Inspire Greatness” roster of athletes. It also aligns on a bigger scale with TCL’s sports collaborations.
