ASUS Philippines unveiled the new additions to its ASUS OLED creator lineup: the ProArt StudioBook Pro 16 and StudioBook 16 OLED.

Both laptops feature the world’s first 16-inch 4K OLED HDR 16:10 display that is Calaman verified and PANTONE validated.

Additionally, the ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED series meets the ultra-demanding MIL-STD 810H military standard for reliability and durability.

These laptops are best for not only creatives but also architects, engineers, game developers, and more professionals.

The new ASUS Dial

The new ProArt StudioBook 16 series also features the new exclusive ASUS Dial, an intuitive physical controller that gives instant and precise fingertip control when using creative apps.

With the ASUS Dial, creatives may easily change brush size and saturation, adjust layer opacity, or undo actions quickly.

The ASUS Dial is currently compatible with four Adobe apps: Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom Classic, and After Effects. More compatible apps will come in the arriving months.

Absolute precision, powerful performance

The new ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 lineup’s 16-inch 4K OLED display is also VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified for ultra-high contrast and deep blacks.

The laptops are powered by either the latest 11th Gen Intel Core/Xeon processor or the AMD Ryzen 5000 processor that has a flexible memory configuration of up to 64 GB RAM.

Providing professional-level 3D graphics processing power are the NVIDIA RX GPUs ranging from GeForce RTX 3060 up to RTX A5000 graphics.

This allows users to easily perform tasks such as complex CAD models, 3D product design, or high-resolution video editing.

The ProArt StudioBook 16 also uses NVIDIA Studio Drivers to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and compatibility.

Versatile connectivity

The laptops have a full range of I/O ports so connecting to user’s studio peripherals or display devices is easy.

Ports include the Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port with Power Delivery, DisplayPort and VR support, a standard Ethernet LAN port, the latest HDMI 2.1 port, and an SD Express 7.0 card reader.

The SD Express 7.0 card reader allows up to speeds of 985 MB/s, nearly 10 times faster than original SD cards, making it easier for large file transfers in between devices.

Price and availability

The Intel variants of the ASUS ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED series will be available later in the quarter starting at PhP 164,995.

All ASUS ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED series laptops come with a complimentary up to three-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud full suite, which includes 100 GB of cloud storage and more.

Are you ready for a more colorful MacBook?

Apple is experimenting with quirkier colorway options for the MacBook.

Published

on

In recent years, Apple has relented on limiting the colors of its devices to only the more premium-looking options. Users can now pick quirkier colors for their iPhones, highlighted currently by the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max. Soon, the same splashes of color might make its way to the MacBook lineup.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has been testing different colorway options for its upcoming entry-level MacBook. The unannounced lineup might come in pink, light yellow, light green, and blue.

It’s a big change for MacBooks. Currently, the only “quirky” option that users can get is the MacBook Air’s Sky Blue, which honestly looks more silvery than blue. Other than that, the MacBook simply seesaws from different shades of gold, silver, and black.

To be fair, the upcoming MacBook will still have the traditional colorways of the current lineup. Additionally, it’s unclear whether Apple will ultimately include all its experimental colors into the final lineup.

Reportedly, the new lineup will cost somewhere between US$ 699 to US$ 799. Of course, the lower price tag will come at the expense of some specs. Although, it should still be good if we’re talking about an entry-level laptop.

It’s even more interesting if it’s hinting at the return of truly colorful options but for the notebook. The iMac already got a similar renaissance back in 2024, which mimics the classic computer’s colorful history.
