Huawei Nova 3: Price and pre-order details in the Philippines
A surprisingly great deal!
The Nova 3i and its attractive price tag for the specs gained lots of fanfare in the Philippines, and it’s looking like the more powerful Nova 3 is about to follow suit.
Just a week after it was launched in China, the Nova 3 has made its way to the Philippines with a price of PhP 25,990. It’ll be available starting August 11, but anyone can pre-order from August 4 to 10 and get a free Bluetooth speaker for the early interest.
That’s a pretty good deal for a midrange-priced smartphone with a high-end Kirin 970 processor, the same chipset found inside the flagship P20 and P20 Pro.
Huawei’s Honor sub-brand did the same with the Honor 10, which offered a Kirin 970 in a package that costs only PhP 23,990.
The difference here is that the Nova 3 is a larger handset thanks to its 6.3-inch display and 3750mAh battery. The Nova 3 also has an additional camera in front, bringing the total to four.
Like the Honor 10, this variant of the Nova 3 also comes with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. With the GPU Turbo feature added out of the box, this is easily one of the most powerful phones in Huawei’s lineup — again, great for the price.
As for colors, the Philippines will have black, red, and iris purple ready for purchase.

The pandemic turned facemasks into a fashion trend. While most brands fought over who could present the most stylish way to protect yourself from the virus, tech companies rushed to pack the most features into a light wearable. Because the pandemic introduced health risks that the world barely understood, most of these products aren’t the safest around. Now, years after introducing its RGB-infused mask, Razer finds itself in trouble over disproven claims.
In 2021, Razer introduced the Zephyr. It was cyberpunk-looking facemask that supposedly carried N95 filters. Over the years, the company failed to have its claims certified. What’s worse, critics analyzed the product and found that the filters did not, in fact, keep 95 percent of particles away. (That’s why an N95 mask is named as such.)
Today, the Federal Trade Commission is asking over US$ 1.1 million in refunds to customers who purchased a Zephyr in the past. According to the proposal, Razer misled consumers by claiming the mask had N95 filters. The company also never submitted the product for testing. Though Razer eventually removed the claims, it wasn’t enough.
Additionally, the proposal is seeking US$ 100,000 in damages and a ban on Razer from selling and marketing any further health-inspired products in the future.
