What went down at Rip Hamilton’s vivo concept store visit
NBA legend in Manila
Last week, NBA legend and former Detroit Piston Rip Hamilton visited the Philippines as part of official NBA-related fan festivities in Manila.
While in town, the 2004 NBA champion also took the time to visit vivo’s concept store at SM Mall of Asia for a quick meet-and-greet session.
How did it happen? Firstly, vivo is NBA’s official smartphone partner, particularly for the Philippine market.
In fact, the multiyear marketing partnership allowed vivo to be the presenting partner of the NBA All-Star Voting, as well as NBA 3X Philippines. Hamilton’s event happened to be the NBA 3X which commenced over the weekend from December 9 to 10 at the MOA Music Hall.
A day before, the three-time all-star graced a media availability session at the NBA Store MOA before finally heading to the vivo concept store to give lucky fans a treat.
The legend first answered a set of questions from the event host, before having his photos taken with fans. He also gamely signed memorabilia items such as photos, jerseys, basketballs, and more.
Throughout the session, the limited-edition vivo V29 5G series in Rose Pink was feted, with the entire program being streamed live on vivo’s social media accounts using two units of the vivo V29 5G.
The vivo V29e 5G, meanwhile, was used to capture photos of three winning attendees who won vivo basketballs.
