CES 2022 announces vaccination proof for in-person event

More protocols to come

Is the world finally healing? After more than a year since the start of the pandemic, the world is finally taking steps to move forward. Though we’re not in the clear yet, we’ve all set up new paradigms to handle the world. Part of that is going back to in-person events. CES 2022 is once again confirming that it is holding an in-person event next year but with additional safety protocols.

Back in April, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced that CES 2022 will finally return to Las Vegas in an in-person event. At the time, the CTA didn’t describe how the event will implement safety procedures for attendees. Finally, we now know what they’re doing.

Attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination when attending the event in-person. The CTA did not enumerate what they will be considering as proof. Vaccinated people are often issued vaccination cards as proof; however, some can avail of other forms like a digital app to show vaccinations.

Additionally, the CTA is also assessing if a positive antibody test can serve as proof for attendees. At this point, the organization is still figuring out the best way to ensure everyone’s safety at the event. More protocols will likely show up as we get closer to the event itself.

Besides the in-person event, attendees can also attend a digital version which will be held side-by-side with the convention in Las Vegas.

CES 2022 is expected to push through between January 5 to 8, 2022.

There is also a reflective island on the middle, which is a direct representation of the Lamborghini Shield — a staple of the brand’s watch cases.

This is actually a digital dial that can display information from the phone, like notifications and more.
