Honor 20 Pro ties with OnePlus 7 Pro on DxOMark
Even beats the Huawei Mate 20 Pro
Honor has never been one to make noise on DxOMark’s camera performance charts, but the company finally felt that it’s time to set a high bar for all flagship smartphones to follow.
The Honor 20 Pro, which is the brand’s latest and best smartphone to date, earned a score tof 111 on DxOMark’s mobile ranking. That’s right below the Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, plus it ties with the recently launched OnePlus 7 Pro.
It’s a major statement to say the least, and puts the Honor 20 Pro on the map as one of the best pocket shooters in the market.
DXO Mark just gave the Honor 20 Pro a score of 111. Which ties with the OnePlus 7 Pro for second place. @DxOMark #Honor20Series pic.twitter.com/NFosjIhoPP

When you check out its specs sheet, you wouldn’t be too surprised by the high score. The Honor 20 Pro has a 48-megapixel main camera with a bright f/1.4 aperture, 16-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, 8-megapixel telephoto unit, and a 2-megapixel macro option. Indeed, that’s as much variety as a smartphone can get.
In addition, the chipset that processes the P30 Pro’s images — the Kirin 980 — does the same work for the Honor 20 Pro’s photos. The broken-down scores of 117 for photos and 97 for videos simply prove that this Honor flagship is every bit as capable as its parent company’s best.
With a starting price of EUR 599, this is quite a deal for the camera performance you get out of it. You can learn more about the Honor 20 Pro in our unboxing and hands-on video:
