Alleged ASUS ZenFone 5 shows an iPhone X-like notch
The infamous notch is here to stay
ASUS has confirmed that their next wave of ZenFones will be unveiled on February 27 at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. We’re expecting these new devices to have similar 18:9 aspect ratio displays like with the ZenFone Max Plus, but that’s not the only “modern” design feature these new ASUS phones will reportedly have.
The regular ZenFone 5 model is expected to have a notch similar to the iPhone X. While the initial reception of the notch isn’t exactly positive, smartphone makers are now incorporating it into their products.

Here’s a photo of the alleged ASUS ZenFone 5 with the notch which they now call the “lip.” Its purpose is to house the front camera, sensors, and the earpiece — just like with the iPhone X. Frankly, it looks like a revised version of the borderless iPhone, if we are to remove the ZenUI lock screen and replace it with iOS.
There’s not much info regarding the specifications of the ZenFone 5 but we expect the phone to boot Android 8.0 Oreo. It’ll have a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio port which the iPhone lacks. It’s also likely to feature dual cameras and a fingerprint reader on the back.
Two years after making its big comeback, Nokia is slowly filling in the pieces of its Android smartphone lineup. The star of course has to be the new Nokia 8 Sirocco, the most premium from the announcements at Mobile World Congress.
But our favorite is the Nokia 7 Plus, a near-borderless Android One phone with Zeiss optics and a beautiful build.
In our Samsung Galaxy S9 Review video, we hope to answer questions you may have to help you make an informed decision before buying the phone.
Is Dual Aperture a gimmick? How good is the S9’s camera? S9 or S9+? Is it even worth it?

A new color, internal camera upgrades, and a few minor changes here and there don’t necessarily make the S9 look or feel new.
But is retaining the same beautiful, sleek design such a bad thing? Are the subtle improvements worth the high price tag? Is AR Emoji a gimmick?
YouTubers Mrwhosetheboss, Joshua Vergara, GadgetsBoy, GadgetsJon, The Tech Chap, David Imel, PC Centric, and Isa Rodriguez tell us what they think about the the Samsung Galaxy S9.
