Practical Smart Home
Eureka E20 Plus review: Stylish, smart, and suction-packed!
This robot vacuum is the small-space hack you didn’t know you needed!
When you live in a small space, every single item you own has to justify its existence. It needs to be adorable, functional, and ideally multi-tasking.
That’s exactly why the Eureka E20 Plus has completely won me over. This sleek, purple-accented robot vacuum isn’t just a cleaning device—it’s a sophisticated little powerhouse that fits perfectly in my tiny apartment.
Cleaning power that slays!
One of my biggest pet peeves with other robot vacuums is dealing with dust bags—bursting, overfull nightmares that send dust flying everywhere.
Not the case with the Eureka E20 Plus. Its transparent, bag-free base station lets me see exactly when it’s full. And with just a quick press of a button, I can empty the dust tank hassle-free.
Here’s the kicker: the E20 Plus can go 45 days without needing to be emptied. Yes, that’s six whole weeks of carefree cleaning! Its 2L capacity dust cup holds way more dirt than the bins on standard robovacs.
Bonus: the same dust cup also incorporates the water tank, making it super convenient since you only need to deal with one container.
There’s also a five-stage filtration system that locks in dust and keeps the air fresh—especially great if you suffer from allergies.
A potential downside? Filters need replacing every few months, which could be an added expense. Though, that’s a problem for six months down the line.
When it comes to suction, this baby is a beast. With 8,000 Pa of suction power, it effortlessly picks up crumbs, dirt, and even stubborn pet hair like it’s nothing.
The anti-hair tangling brush is a blessing, especially if you or your roommates have long hair—or if you share your space with cats.
But wait, there’s more! It vacuums and mops simultaneously, so you’re getting a two-for-one cleaning experience.
The 10mm mop-lifting function is impressive, though the mopping feature feels more like a light touch to keep your space neat between deep cleans. You’ll still need to pull out the old-school mop for those serious messes.
For a bit of a comparison, the YEEDI C12 Pro Plus (priced $100 higher) offers better mopping performance but doesn’t quite match the E20 Plus in other areas.
A smart navigator?
Like most robot vacuums, the Eureka E20 Plus features DuoDetect AI™ 3D Obstacle Avoidance. It glides around furniture, avoids clutter like a pro, and even cleans at night thanks to its enhanced night vision.
I’ll be honest—I didn’t get to test its DuoDetect AI extensively since my small apartment doesn’t have carpets and is mostly open. My “furniture” consists of organizers stacked to save space.
That said, it does a great job maneuvering around clothes that tend to end up on the floor (oops).
However, sometimes it doesn’t recognize my feet and runs over them. I just take it as a gentle reminder to move. Maybe it doesn’t register me because I’m an angel?
Kidding aside, it’s a tiny quirk in an otherwise flawless cleaning routine. And let’s be real, I’d take a foot bump over dust bunnies any day.
Meet the Yapper’s BFF
The Eureka E20 Plus app is like a command center. It lets you customize cleaning zones, schedule specific cleaning times, and even sends reminders to refill the water tank.
Think of it as your cleaning assistant. Bonus points for the app’s aesthetic, which is sleek and user-friendly.
Setting it up was straightforward, though I was surprised when it started cleaning right away instead of doing an initial scan like other robot vacuums.
The map it created was a little off at first, so I had to make it roam around to fix it. Maybe its polished looks don’t always match its technical performance?
For those who love voice assistants, here’s some good news: it syncs with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. You can just say, “Clean the living room,” and it’ll get to work.
Personally, I don’t use voice assistants much, but I can see how this would be a lifesaver for multitaskers.
Is the Eureka E20 Plus your GadgetMatch?
For a small-space dweller, the Eureka E20 Plus is a dream come true. It’s compact, stylish, and seamlessly fits into any corner of your tiny apartment. It’s powerful enough to keep your floors spotless and works hands-free for weeks at a time.
With features like 8,000 Pa suction, mop-lifting technology, and app-controlled customization, it’s ideal for anyone juggling a busy schedule or just tired of constantly cleaning.
That said, if you’re sensitive to tech quirks like the occasional foot bump or map corrections, need something ultra-quiet, or want a stronger vacuum-mop combo, you might want to Swipe Left.
For everyone else, Swipe Right—your floors will thank you. The Eureka E20 Plus is a cleaning companion that works as hard as it looks good.
If you want a stylish robovac that leaves your home sparkling, this might just be your GadgetMatch.
The Eureka E20 Plus retails for US$500 and is available on the brand’s official website, as well as on Amazon.
