The Google Pixel 5a with 5G comes with IP rating, better battery, improved cameras
Available starting August 26
Lo and behold! The newest Pixel is here.
Meet the Pixel 5a with 5G, the successor to the Pixel 4a. Albeit with a few new hardware additions and features. For instance, it’s the first handset in the A-series of Pixel devices to have IP67 water and dust resistance.
It also comes with 5G connectivity, thanks to its Snapdragon 765G chipset. And together with its 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, you can play games on your TV or laptop with Stadia, enjoy mobile gaming, and stay connected.
The Pixel 5a has a 6.34-inch OLED bezel-less screen for all your needs. It also has Duo Screen Sharing in HD, allowing everyone on your call to watch videos together as if you’re in the same room.
Staying connected won’t be an issue with a larger battery capacity of 4,680mAh. It comes with adaptive battery features and it’s capable of fast-charging up to 18W.
All the things you’ve loved about Pixel
As usual, you get the well-loved dual-camera system: a 12.2-megapixel f/1.7 main camera, and a 16-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens. On its front, you get an 8-megapixel single shooter.
Popular features are also present in the Pixel 5a, such as Portrait Light, Cinematic Pan, and Night Sight — the feature that lets you capture city lights or the moon and the stars.
The Pixel 5a is also equipped with Google’s Titan M security module to keep your device secure.
Price and availability
More importantly, Google has a lot of offers waiting for you. For instance, you can get three-month trials of YouTube Premium, Google Play Pass, and Google One. If you purchase a Pixel 5a with 5G on the Google Store in the U.S., you also get a three-month trial of unlimited calls and texts on Google Fi.
The Google Pixel 5a with 5G retails US$ 450 in a single color called Mostly Black, with forest green undertones and an olive-colored Power button. You can pre-order it via Google Store in the U.S. and Japan, or wait for it to become available starting August 26.

ITZY’s YUNA is Infinix’s first ever global brand ambassador
Infinix is in with YUNA in the scene
Infinix is entering a new era — and the brand is bringing one of K-Pop’s most sought-after stars along the ride.
A first for Infinix
In line with the launch of the latest NOTE 60 series, Infinix has also named YUNA of ITZY as its very first Global Brand Ambassador. The company calls this a bold step forward for both innovation and style.
For the record, this is the first time Infinix has tapped a global ambassador — and the choice makes sense. YUNA is known for her confidence, vibrant energy, and unapologetic self-expression. These qualities align closely with Infinix’s “Joy Tech, Beyond Limits” philosophy.
In a statement, YUNA shared her excitement about the partnership. She said she’s looking forward to connecting with fans in a new way and creating meaningful stories together with the brand.
For Infinix, this collaboration is more than just a celebrity endorsement. It signals a shift in how the company wants to position itself globally — not just as a smartphone maker, but as a lifestyle tech brand for expressive, tech-savvy youth.
The more, the merrier
The partnership goes along the debut of the NOTE 60 Series, further fueling Infinix’s move toward a more premium smartphone experience.
Like YUNA, the NOTE 60 line also brings notable names in the table:
- Powered by Snapdragon from Qualcomm
- Design collaboration with Pininfarina
- Audio tuned with JBL
It’s a clear attempt that Infinix wanted to elevate both performance and design by blending in flagship-level specs, more refined aesthetics, and immersive sound altogether.
Infinix says this launch also marks its expansion into more premium international markets.
With YUNA as the face of the brand, the company hopes to strengthen its appeal among younger users who want both powerful hardware and a device that matches their personality.
Rather than focusing purely on specs, Infinix is leaning into storytelling — highlighting how technology can spark creativity, joy, and individuality.
With the NOTE 60 Series and YUNA front and center, Infinix appears ready to redefine its brand identity on a global scale.
