I’m just gonna come right out and say it. The Hollyland Lark M2 is the mic set that every content creator should get.
Hot take? Not really. Just see what’s inside the box first.
Whether you use smartphones or cameras to record your content, this set has you covered. At just nine grams, the small and lightweight wireless microphone is a great choice for filmmakers, vloggers, and even podcasters. It comes in a lightning mode for classic iPhones, and a USB-C mode for more recent iPhones, Android devices, and even PCs.
That’s the full set but if you only make content from your phone, there are more affordable options for you. Here are all the versions you can buy:
- Mobile Version (Lightning): USD 149
- Mobile Version (USB-C): USD 139
- Camera Version: USD 159
- Combo Version: USD 179
What you’re getting
For its audio quality, the LARK M2 can reproduce studio-grade 48kHz/24 bit Hi-Fi sound, a signal-to-noise ratio of 70db, and a maximum sound pressure level of 115dB.
And with a high-gain LDS (Laser Direct Structuring) antenna, signal blockage caused by the human body is reduced. This leads to capturing high-quality audio even in challenging environments.
All of that and you can even use it in various scenarios. The Lark M2 can serve other real-time audio and video needs, like livestreams, live entertainment, and presentations, to name a few. That’s while eliminating the need for messy wires.
Best of all, users can either just clip the microphone securely to their clothing or utilize the magnetic attachment. They can even turn it into a fashion add-on via its necklace design option. No need to hold your mic. It frees up your hands to handle other things.
The mic promises to last up to 10 hours on a single charge, and up to 40 hours with its portable case on the camera version. It also takes just 90 minutes to recharge the case back to full.
Easy to control
Moreover, the LARK M2 offers various ways for users to check their recordings. It supports seamless playback on the spot without unplugging.
The mic can also act as a remote TX control for video recording with mobile devices. The peripheral itself comes with an intuitive knob for adjusting volume, as well as switching between mono and stereo modes.
Creators can even leverage the Hollyland LarkSound app to adjust the mic’s noise cancellation and fit whatever scenario. The app also supports one-tap firmware updates and real-time audio status checking.
More recordings in the future
We’ve given you a taste of what a quick recording sounds like in the unboxing video above. In the future, we’ll show you more videos where we used the Hollyland Lark M2
