This is how NVIDIA RTX AI makes your PC amazing

NVIDIA has pushed its AI technology further

If you were in the market for a new PC last year, you might have been attracted, intrigued, turned off, or repulsed by the sudden influx of AI-powered processors, especially from NVIDIA. Curiosity over this pervasive trend is natural. Whether you welcome the technology with open arms or revulsion, Pandora’s box has opened, and AI is here to stay. Thankfully, it can only help improve the PC experience.

Now, let’s clear the air once and for all. Here’s how AI, spearheaded by NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX GPUs, is ultimately creating better and more powerful PC:

Graphics performance without the hardware

Only a few years ago, building a PC relied heavily on chasing after the most expensive components for your rig. Now, with NVIDIA DLSS technology, even a dated GPU can keep up with the times by using AI to automatically generate pixels, boosting framerate in the process.

Upscaled videos

Besides games, AI can also automatically upscale videos. NVIDIA’s RTX Video Super Resolution, for example, melts away compression artifacts and sharpens edges. Even in lower resolutions, videos look crystal clear and vibrant.

Streamlining smaller tasks

When the world talks about AI, there’s a good chance that it’s about a chatbot. As you likely know by now, the biggest benefit of a chatbot, like ChatGPT, is the ability to trivialize tasks that are otherwise time consuming, including writing emails and simple copy. Plus, these are all usually free to use, like the NVIDIA ChatRTX, which will come free to all RTX GPU owners.

Image generation with ease

Speaking of generating content, AI can also automatically generate images with a simple prompt. With Stable Diffusion and an RTX GPU, creating a photo you need happens with a snap of your fingers.

How NVIDIA is pushing the boundaries of AI PCs

As you might have noticed, NVIDIA’s RTX GPUs were a constant presence when we were going through the benefits of an AI PC. Though there are a number of processors already out in the market, NVIDIA has pushed its AI technology further and further in 2024.

Currently, the company boasts GPUs that can deliver up to 1,300 trillion operations per second because of specialized AI Tensor Cores. According to the brand, there are over 600 games now that can benefit from NVIDIA’s AI. To keep up with this growing number, the new December Studio Driver is available for download now.

Additionally, the world of large language models (or LLMs) just got two new benchmarks to help gauge the performance of AI-powered devices: Procyon AI Text Generation and MLPerf Client v0.5. Both can measure how a system handles the burden of generating content with AI. It’s getting easier to check how a chipset or GPU fares in today’s market.
