Huawei introduces Y7 Prime 2018 as latest budget FullView phone
This is basically the Nova 2 Lite
Huawei seems to be fond of confusing people with their newest phone releases. There are a number of budget Huawei devices in China alone and in other markets, they also have quite a few. The latest that’ll join the pack is the Y7 Prime 2018 which is practically the Nova 2 Lite that was released in the Philippines earlier this month.
The Y7 Prime 2018 is a 6-inch phone (5.99-inch to be exact) with an 18:9 HD+ display. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB of memory and 32GB of expandable storage. A 3000mAh battery is sealed inside and charges through an older micro-USB port.
Just like the Nova 2 Lite, the Y7 Prime sports dual rear cameras to enable bokeh effects. A 12-megapixel main sensor takes on the photography task while the secondary 2-megapixel camera is just there to take depth information for bokeh and Portrait Mode. For selfies, an 8-megapixel front camera is present.
Despite being a budget phone, the Y7 Prime 2018 has Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box skinned with EMUI 8.0 like with any other Huawei phone.
Everything about the Y7 Prime is the same as the Nova 2 Lite which we already have a hands-on for. There’s no official pricing yet but it should be around US$ 200.
