Orient launches new limited edition Mako model, more timepieces
More models to choose from
Japanese watch brand Orient has added new models to its lineup, including a 20th anniversary limited edition model for the Orient Mako, as well as new Orient Bambino models with renewed straps.
The three new Orient Mako models with chronograph functions come in three metallic colors: sky blue, red, and the 20th anniversary blue gradation subdials.
In particular, the 20th anniversary model has a blue gradation from 12 o’clock to 6 o’clock. This limited edition model will be available in just 3,000 pieces.
Meanwhile, the solar-powered Orient Mako 40 model gets more color options. The new model also has a 39.9mm diameter case, which is a little smaller compared to previous iterations.
With a sunburst finish dial and 3D indices, the new Orient Mako 40 comes in green, baby blue, ivory, and cocoa brown.
Furthermore, the limited edition Orient Bambino 38 models come with fresh calf leather straps. The new models combine the 38.4mm case introduced in 2022 for a more comfortable fit.
Some color options under this line include baby blue and copper. The limited edition Orient Bambino 38 will come in limited quantities only.
Lastly, Orient has added chronograph solar-powered models to its Contemporary Collection. These wearables feature wedge-shaped indices. The dial colors include white, champagne, navy blue, black, and fresh sky blue. Metal bracelet and leather strap options are both available.
HUAWEI will officially launch the HUAWEI FreeClip 2 in the Philippines on February 19.
HUAWEI says the only Airy C-Bridge open-ear TWS earbuds is the next evolution of open-ear listening.
It is designed for users who want premium sound, all-day comfort, and a truly secure fit — not just as a cutting-edge audio wearable but also as a tech jewelry.
There are several trendy colorways: Denim Blue, Black, Rose Gold, and White. Users can also style the FreeClip 2 with interchangeable accessories, like the Star, Butterfly, Flake, and Tassel designs.
Building on the first-generation FreeClip, the FreeClip 2 introduces a lighter, softer, and new design.
The Acoustic Ball, which houses the audio driver, is contoured and weighted to sit naturally near the ear canal. This change allows directing sound precisely while maintaining an open-ear design.
The counterbalance is the Comfort Bean, a broad and soft contact surface for a stable and ergonomic fit. This rests gently behind the ear and distributes pressure across a wider area.
Meanwhile, the Airy C-Bridge design is crafted from skin-friendly liquid silicone and high-performance shape-memory alloy. It is 25% lighter and is tested to withstand 25,000 bends.
Crystal-clear calls, powerful audio
Performance wise, the FreeClip 2 boasts of clearer sound and more reliable calls in real-world environments.
It is equipped with an advanced three-microphone system, including a Voice Pick Up bone-conduction mic.
The powerful dual-diaphragm driver in a TWS design is also engineered to deliver impressive sound. Users can expect a better bass performance for fuller and more dynamic audio for music, podcasts, and even video calls.
An integrated NPU AI Processor also elevates the listening experience with precise audio processing.
With Adaptive Volume, the wearable detects ambient noise and automatically adjusts playback. Adaptive Voice Enhancement also intelligently amplifies voice based on the content being played or surrounding noise.
Other features include up to 38 hours of usage, iOS and Android compatibility, and IP57 rating.
For its Philippines release, HUAWEI is offering Early Bird Vouchers worth PhP 1,000. On Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok, customers can also get PhP 500 vouchers and two sets of accessories, as well as a one-year, one-time loss compensation service.

The golf-centric premium smartwatch features professional-grade golf intelligence. It also comes with more than 17,000 zoomable 3D course maps worldwide, including more than 100 local maps.
This allows golfers to visualize fairways, hazards, and landing zones in advance to plan each hole with confidence.
Instead of guessing, players can manage risks better, commit to their shots, and focus on execution.
Moreover, Green Slope Direction gives clearer insight into how a putt will break. Play-Like Distance, meanwhile, factors in elevation changes and wind conditions.
Furthermore, AI Caddie works quietly in the background, analyzing swing history, performance trends, and course layout to offer smarter recommendations moving forward.
Complementing these are Shot Distance Tracking and digital scorecards which automatically capture every swing and score. This way, users can understand their insights and track progress after each round.
And using the HUAWEI Health app, users can also access Through Ball Trajectory Sharing to relive their best shots and review key moments.

Luxurious designs
Design wise, every detail of the wearable reflects premium Japanese craftsmanship. Its default HONMA Elemental Dial features a traditional Japanese Pine Leaf Pattern.
This is paired with a putter-shaped second hand. There is also another HONMA-exclusive option with a BERES 7S dial in vibrant blue with Mt. Fuji for a truly iconic look.
The HONMA x HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Pro has an aerospace-grade titanium case, sapphire crystal glass, and HONMA-engraved gold buckle for a luxurious yet durable build.
In front is a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The watch also lasts up to 21 days on a single charge.
Health features are likewise advanced, including heart rate, HRV, breathing, and interruptions. Stress and emotional wellbeing are also tracked every 10 minutes and integrated into the HUAWEI Health app.
Aside from golf, the watch supports over 100 sports modes, including pro-level activities. There’s also support for freediving for up to 40 meters with depth and duration tracking.
What comes next after the smartphone? For years, brands hunted for an answer. Apple, for example, placed its bet on the Vision Pro, a wager that hasn’t paid off yet. Samsung, on the other hand, is betting on a different horse: augmented reality.
In a new earnings call (via Seeking Alpha), Samsung’s Seong H. Cho, the brand’s head for mobile marketing, confirmed that they will experiment more with “diverse form factors such as next-generation AR glasses.”
Samsung has been teasing a pair of glasses for a while now. However, with an impressive lineup already in the works (including the brand’s first trifold smartphone), it’s understandable that hype for the teased glasses took a bit of a backseat.
But, with an official word now about the wearable, the game is once again on to create an impressive pair of smart glasses.
The only question here is the “next-generation” part. Since Samsung doesn’t really have a pair out in the market right now, it’s a bit difficult to determine what the next generation might mean.
Of course, it could simply be a marketing term that implies smart glasses are the next generation of technology. If it pertains to what’s already out in the market, it could mean a pair that comes with a camera or even a display. Of note, most smart glasses today (or, at least, those accessible to most users) use only audio for its smart functionalities.
