vivo has begun the global rollout for the vivo V60, its latest portrait powerhouse co-engineered with ZEISS. The smartphone has just been launched in several markets, including Malaysia, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

The latest V series device features a 6,500mAh battery, 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera, and a range of further advanced imaging features.

There are five nature-inspired colors to choose from: Berry Purple, Ocean Blue, Summer Blue, Desert Gold, and Mist Gray. Specifically, the Ocean Blue finish features a unique Sapphire Tide process.

Capture any occasion in stunning detail

This Super Telephoto Camera has a 1/1.953-inch Sony IMX882 sensor with an f/2.65 aperture. Its innovative periscope design allows for greater optical zoom without increasing the thickness of the camera module.

New on the V60 is a 10x Telephoto Stage Portrait capability. This lets users capture close-ups of performers on stage even from afar.

The feature preserves intricate details, like facial expressions, natural skin tones, and clothing textures.

And with vivo’s exclusive algorithm, users can simply tap “Stage Style” to automatically optimize results.

Another feature on the vivo V60 retained from past iterations is the ZEISS Multifocal Portrait. Users can choose from five golden portrait focal lengths, inspired by professional cameras.

As such, the phone also has ZEISS Style Bokeh for cinematic portraits that pay homage to the style of iconic ZEISS lenses.

Moreover, there’s Telephoto Landscape Portrait and Super Telephoto Enhancement for smooth captures even when zoomed at up to 10x or beyond.

Joining the Super Telephoto Camera is a 50MP ZEISS OIS Main Camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, and an 8MP ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera.

In front is a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera with AI Facial Contouring. For videos, both front and rear cameras support up to 4K recording.

Complementing these cameras are AI-powered features for post-processing, like:

  • AI Erase 3.0
  • AI Reflection Erase
  • AI Magic Move
  • AI Image Expander
  • AI Photo Enhance

Durable design

Furthermore, the vivo V60’s premium design features ultra-slim bezels and a 41° golden curvature.

The sleek look is reinforced by IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, as well as One-Tap Water Ejection.

There is also a new Diamond Shield Glass to give the V60 protection from drops. From within, there is an internal Comprehensive Cushioning Structure.

Large battery, powerful performance

The vivo V60 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and comes with 12GB of base RAM plus 12GB of expansion.

The phone also has 512GB of internal storage and a 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery which supports 90W FlashCharge and Bypass Charging, among other features.

Onto its display, the V60 has an HDR10+ certified display with peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.

Moreover, the vivo V60 integrates an OS refined to enhance productivity and connectivity, with the following highlights:

  • Google Gemini
  • AI Smart Call Assistant for real-time Call Captions and Translation

foodpanda relaunches cult-favorite roast chicken brand after 8 years of persistent search queries

Heritage chain Andok’s returns to the platform, driven entirely by long-term user analytics.

In the world of e-commerce and food delivery, platform algorithms usually dictate what consumers see. But occasionally, consumer behavior is so relentless that it shapes the platform’s strategy.

In a move driven entirely by long-term user analytics, foodpanda has officially relaunched Andok’s, one of the Philippines’ most iconic heritage rotisserie chains, back onto its platform after an eight-year absence.

The search bar as a digital wishlist

The decision to ink the partnership wasn’t just a marketing play. It was a response to an ongoing data anomaly. Despite being offline from the foodpanda platform for eight years, Andok’s consistently ranked as one of the most-searched merchants on the app.

Year after year, users treated the empty search results page as an unofficial wishlist. This persistent search intent gave foodpanda a clear, data-backed signal of pent-up demand.

Prior to the official digital rollout, teaser campaigns on social media validated this demand, generating thousands of organic interactions from users anticipating the return.

Bridging heritage flavor with digital infrastructure

For foodpanda, onboarding a merchant with this level of built-in demand fits its broader strategy of marketplace optimization and hyper-local network expansion, turning a heritage brand into another data point for how legacy retail plugs into delivery infrastructure.

For Andok’s, the integration works as a fast track to digital scale. A legacy quick-service chain skips years of independent app development and reaches customers already using foodpanda’s existing logistics network, on a platform they already check daily.

Andok’s built its following on charcoal spit-roasted chicken, a slow-cooked technique that’s stayed largely unchanged since the brand’s early days, alongside seasoned grilled pork belly.

More recently, the Dokito line extended that following into crispy fried chicken and chicken burgers, broadening the brand’s appeal beyond its original rotisserie format and giving foodpanda a menu with both heritage pull and everyday fast-food convenience.

Did Tim Cook just confirm that iPhone prices are going up?

Once again, it might be because of the RAM crisis.

Published

on

If there’s one thing you can count on in the smartphone world, it’s the high price of an iPhone. Unfortunately, with the ongoing RAM shortages, things might get worse. Apple’s Tim Cook has essentially confirmed that the brand is about to raise its prices.

Via an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cook said, “Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable.” As with other companies, the outgoing CEO is talking about the RAM crisis. With a lot of chips going to AI, consumer-ready silicon is getting scarcer and scarcer. Thankfully, some brands are shielding its users from the increases, but it’s reaching levels that aren’t sustainable for business.

“We’re doing our best to mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we’ve been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable,” he said.

Cook did not explain how much prices will go up or when. However, with the iPhone 18 series (and a potential iPhone Fold) just on the horizon, it seems nigh.

Apple isn’t the first brand to react to the shortages (nor will it be the last). Now, regardless of whether or not Apple has the capabilities to tank the crisis, the biggest culprit is still AI. Companies today are more than willing to use AI as a scapegoat, real or otherwise, for shady cost-cutting or profit-enhancing practices.
