TECNO’s SPARK Slim is the world’s slimmest entry-level smartphone
Impressive super-slim 5.93mm chassis with a massive 5160mAh battery
Remember when TECNO showcased their thinnest smartphone concept during MWC 2025 that totally went up against Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge? Straight from the drawing board, the uprising brand made the SPARK Slim a reality.
Slimmest for its price
Even though the first concept had a 5.75mm chassis, the mass market-ready TECNO SPARK Slim is still impressively slim at just 5.93mm — which is the 4G version. Its 5G variant (dubbed as the POVA Slim 5G) is tiny bit thicker at 5.95mm.
Speaking of, MediaTek’s Helio G200 is what’s under the hood of the SPARK while Dimensity 6400 for the POVA counterpart. Both share the same weight at 156 grams though.
This marvel in engineering was possible thanks to an Aerospace-Grade Fiberglass Back Cover at 0.36mm as well as TECNO’s Honeycomb Space Stacking Technology.
This innovation means they have strategically optimized the placement of 8-core components: main board, battery, camera, speaker, USB-C port, TP cover, front camera. Heck, even the SIM card slot.
Other components are quite thin as well including its 0.3mm Vapor Cooling Chamber and a massive 5160mAh battery only measuring 4.04mm.
If you’re worried about durability, it’s SGS and TÜV Rheinland certified, has surpassed the Military-Grade Shock Resistance Test, and is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i. Lastly, it’s IP64 water and dust-resistant.
Aside all that, most hardware specs are similar on paper: A flagship-grade AMOLED curved display with 144Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits of max brightness. A 50MP rear camera, 45W wired charging plus 10W reverse wired charging, and a lone 8+256GB system configuration.

Something unique to the TECNO Slim though is the Mood Light feature that displays and expresses life-like emotions through the Baymax-like lighting along its camera bar.
The phone runs HiOS 15 with all the nifty AI-powered Assistants and other Tools in mind.
The Thinnest Power Duo
The newest TECNO Slim will make its debut at IFA 2025 ShowStoppers together with the already-existing MEGABOOK S14 — the industry’s lightest 14-inch OLED laptop at 899 grams.
TECNO’s General Manager, Jack Guo, said that both of these products represent the company’s commitment in “delivering meaningful innovation.” One doesn’t have to choose between elegant design and powerful performance as these products deliver both style and substance in one.
Moreover, TECNO is also showcasing their expanding AIoT system of products such as the MEGABOOK K laptop series, MEGAPAD Pro tablet, TRUE 2 AI TWS earbuds, Watch GT AI smartwatch, and the AI Glasses Pro.
To prospective attendees, TECNO urges you to visit their table at IFA ShowStoppers Table No. 21. Visitors can get hands-on demos of all products — including live AI functionality tests and ecosystem connectivity scenarios.
Pricing and Availability
As of this writing, TECNO hasn’t revealed the exact pricing and regional availability of the all-new SPARK Slim and POVA Slim 5G.
However, looking solely at its specs list, it’s safe to assume this they’re both an entry-level smartphone meant for the budget-conscious consumers who wanted to have the slimmest possible form factor.
On the other hand, TECNO’s MEGABOOK K laptops are now available in Spain and France that deliver a great balance between design, power, and battery efficiency.
Additionally. the MEGABOOK S14 and T14 Air are planned for Q4 2025 release in various European markets.

TCL FreshIN 3.0 air conditioner awarded at IFA 2025
TCL’s innovative inverter AC loaded with smart features
TCL was among the exhibitors at the recently-concluded IFA 2025 in Berlin, Germany, and its innovative FreshIN 3.0 fresh air conditioner was among the electronics giant’s proud highlights.
The smart AC was honored with the “AI Energy-saving Technology Gold Award” at the IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Awards. This is a testament to the product’s groundbreaking advancements.
Among the smart features on the FreshIN 3.0 are its Offline Voice Control, QuadruPuri Filters for a four-stage filtration process, and Intelligent Lifespan Reminder. The inverter AC also features a T-AI energy-saving technology, making it more economical for homeowners.
Aside from the TCL FreshIN 3.0 AC, some of TCL’s offerings that were present at IFA 2025 include the FreshIN C7, VoxIN voice-vontrolled AC, SaveIN, Free Match multi-split systems, and Unitary ACs.
Key updates
In terms of research and development, TCL has utilized AI in crafting its next-generation ACs. There are three major product lines: AI health, AI voice control, and AI energy-saving.
In addition, TCL has established 11 production bases in Zhongshan (Guangdong), Wuhan (Hubei), Jiujiang (Jiangxi), Nansha (Guangzhou), Indonesia, and Brazil. These contribute to an annual production capacity of over 38 million AC units.
Elsewhere, TCL announced back in August that freestyle skier Eileen Gu has been appointed global brand endorser.
The development makes her part of the company’s “Inspire Greatness” roster of athletes. It also aligns on a bigger scale with TCL’s sports collaborations.

These Dyson drops are the home upgrades you didn’t know you needed
Yes, we’re adding Dyson to the wishlist, and you should too!
Dyson surely knows how to make an entrance.
At IFA 2025 in Berlin, James Dyson himself arrived in a vintage Mini before pulling the cover off a lineup of new and re-engineered gadgets.
From supercharged hair tools to whisper-quiet purifiers, these are the pieces that prove Dyson is still the gold standard in making everyday life feel smarter and sleeker.
Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x
Meet your new vanity essential. The Airwrap Coanda 2x takes the cult-favorite multi-styler and cranks it up with Dyson’s fastest hair care motor yet.
With 6-in-1 versatility through drying, curling, waving, straightening, smoothing, and volumizing, it’s like having an entire glam team tucked into one sleek wand, minus the heat damage.
Dyson Supersonic r
Smaller, lighter, and even stronger, the Supersonic r is Dyson’s most powerful hair dryer to date.
Its chic 38mm body is a statement in itself, but the real magic is how it dries fast while keeping strands shiny and smooth.
Attachments automatically adjust airflow and heat, so your at-home blowout feels like a salon moment every time.
Dyson V8 Cyclone
The vacuum that started a movement just got an upgrade!
The V8 Cyclone cordless vacuum now has more suction, more runtime, and a hot-swappable battery so cleaning marathons feel less like a workout.
Add a new triggerless button and three easy modes, and you’ve got a machine that’s as efficient as it is effortless.
Dyson V16 Piston Animal
Think of this as the heavyweight champ of vacuums. The V16 Piston Animal deep cleans every corner, picks up long hair without tangling, and even washes floors with its upgraded Submarine roller.
With a bin that holds up to 30 days of dust, it’s built for those who want their home to sparkle without constant emptying.
Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact
Who knew purifiers could be powerful and quiet? The HushJet is engineered to deliver whole-room purification while staying whisper soft, down to 24 dB in Sleep mode!
Small but mighty, it’s perfect for bedrooms, work-from-home nooks, or anywhere you crave fresh air without the fan noise.
Dyson Spot+Scrub AI robot
This is not your average robot vacuum. The Spot+Scrub uses AI stain detection to go back over stubborn marks until they’re spotless, plus it vacuums and washes floors at the same time.
It even cleans itself as it goes! Consider it your tireless little roommate who insists on tidiness.
Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene
Wet cleaning, but make it hygienic. This lightweight cleaner ditches dirty filters in favor of a roller that refreshes with every pass, leaving floors streak-free and fresh. With a self-cleaning cycle, it’s as low-maintenance as it is effective.
Dyson PencilVac
Slimmer than your favorite tumbler at just 38mm, the PencilVac is Dyson’s most minimalist vacuum yet. It glides under low furniture, tackles mess in every direction, and still flexes laser dust detection. Proof that cleaning tools can double as design objects.
Dyson Cool CF1 and Dyson Hot+Cool HF1
Dyson’s bladeless icons are back with smart new tricks.
The Cool CF1 fan brings app-connected cooling with refined oscillation, while the Hot+Cool HF1 heats rooms faster and quieter than ever. These bring comfort and control, all from your phone.
Dyson Omega Nourishing Range
Yes, Dyson is doing haircare and it’s dreamy.
The Omega range blends seven omega-rich oils (including sunflower oil from Dyson’s own farms) into a hydrating hair oil and leave-in spray. It’s glossy, healthy hair bottled up, powered by a mix of science and sustainability.
