The Mac mini has long been due for an upgrade, and Apple has delivered with the arrival of the newest model during today’s launch event.

Simply called the new Mac mini, it has Intel’s 8th-generation processors, maxing out with a six-core Core i7 with up to 64GB of memory and up to 2TB of storage for the highest-end variant.

Because this is meant for a desktop setup, it comes with 10Gbps Ethernet, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB-A, 3.5mm audio port, and HDMI 2.0. There’s also an Apple T2 Security Chip on board for on-the-fly data encryption.

Like the new MacBook Air, the Mac mini is made of 100 percent recycled aluminum, and there’s a professional-looking space gray color option this time. Of course, macOS Mojave comes out of the box.

Pricing starts at US$ 799 for the entry-level Core i3 chip with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage. You can order starting today, while shipping begins November 7.
