Garmin launches the Venu 2 and Venu 2S with GPS

American technology brand Garmin has launched the Venu 2 and Venu 2S in multiple markets. The Venu 2 has a 45mm dial, whereas the Venu 2S has a 40mm dial. The smartwatches are fitness-focused and come with a host of tracking abilities.

The prime differences between the two are their dial size and battery life. Apart from this, their identical from the inside in terms of features offered. The display consists of an AMOLED screen, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

A new Health Snapshot feature provides an in-depth report of the workout. It includes heart rate, heart rate variability, Pulse Ox, respiration, and stress. All the data is compiled into the Garmin Connect app, which is available for Android and iOS.

The system is designed to keep a constant track of blood oxygen, heart rate, and stress indicators for sleep quality and workouts. It comes equipped with more than 25 built-in sport modes with preloaded enhanced high-intensity workouts, animated cardio, strength, yoga, and Pilates. Users can download even more workout programs via the app.

The two watches can offer up to 11 days of runtime without GPS in terms of battery life. With GPS actively switched on, it can provide up to 19 hours without onboard music playback. The internal storage can store more than 600 songs, making the watch completely independent of a phone.

Price and availability

The Garmin Venu 2 is priced at INR 41,990 (US$ 465), while the Venu 2S costs INR 37,990 (US$ 510). It’ll be available for purchase via Amazon, Flipkart, Tata CliQ, and Synergizer.co.in.

In the Philippines, it costs PhP 22,995 (US$ 465) and is available for purchase through Garmin Brand Stores, official online Garmin stores, and more.
