Awesome Screen! Samsung Galaxy A51 now official

Infinity-O, Super AMOLED display

The Samsung Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A50s were promising midrange offering from Samsung. They doubled down on what made those good and applied them on the new Samsung Galaxy A51.

Launched alongside the Galaxy A71 during a BLACKPINK fan meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Samsung Galaxy A51 is a well-rounded phone. No glaring weaknesses, but no obvious strengths either.

Awesome screen

The Galaxy A51 has a 6.5-inch FHD Super Amoled display. It follows the Infinity-O display that houses the 32MP front-facing camera. Overall design is consistent with Samsung’s 2020 releases so far.

Awesome camera

It has a quadruple camera setup: 48MP main shooter, 5MP depth sensor, 5MP macro lens, and 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. Pretty much the same as the Galaxy A71 save for the main camera.

Long lasting battery life

Powering the device is a the Exynos 9611 SoC with a 4000mAh battery with 15W charging. There’s only one configuration: 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage that’s expandable via a microSD card slot.

You also get the usual Samsung features like Bixby Vision, Lens, and Routines, Samsung Health, and Samsung’s security platform Knox.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A51 will come in Prism Crush Black and Blue. Pricing and availability to follow.

OnePlus officially leaves the United States and Canada

The brand’s smartphones are now sold out in the United States.

Published

Once upon a time, OnePlus used to be the darling child of smartphone users on a budget. For a more meager price than a flagship, users can enjoy flagship specs on a uniquely designed phone. Who can forget the iconic OnePlus One?

Unfortunately, prices have a way of catching up. Though the brand’s phones are still perfectly good, more options have already emerged as alternatives for a so-called flagship killer, including OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei’s Nothing.

Now, marking the brand’s next step, whatever that is, OnePlus has officially left the North American market. As of today, the company has sold its last smartphone in the United States and Canada. Going on the official OnePlus website will warrant a Sold Out sign for both the OnePlus 15 and 15R. If anything, users can still get a handful of earbuds and cases.

As with everything that sells out, if you really want to cop one of the last remaining models in America, you can grab one off a third-party retailer, but who knows until when that will last?

This isn’t just a stocking issue, either. In July, the company already confirmed that it is pulling out of the region starting this month. It’s a sign of internal restructuring happening inside OPPO and all the brands under its umbrella. There’s also a rumor that OnePlus was relegated to being a sub-brand of OPPO once again.
