Massive leak spoils major Galaxy S22 series details

It’s already been quite a while since Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series. With the last Galaxy Unpacked event already in the rearview mirror, Samsung is looking towards next year’s Galaxy S22 series. As expected, the first slate of rumors has arrived, and they’re pretty hefty. Here’s how the series might look like.

Revealed by renowned Samsung leaker Ice Universe on Weibo, the Galaxy S22 series has a lot going for it. As expected, the series will come with three variants: the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

In terms of display, the Galaxy S22 has a 6.06-inch FHD+ 120Hz display. The Galaxy S22+ will have a larger 6.55-inch screen. Finally, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 6.81-inch LTPO QHD+ 120Hz screen.

Both the Galaxy S22 and S22+ will sport a 50-megapixel main sensor with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 12-megapixel 3x zoom lens. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 108-megapixel main sensor with the same 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 12-megapixel 3x zoom lens. However, it also adds in a 12-megapixel 10x zoom lens.

The Galaxy S22 will have a 3800mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22+ has a larger 4600mAh battery, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery.

The report does not share much about the design, but the leaker states that the series will merely modify the Galaxy S21 series.
