Ahead of IFA 2025 Berlin, Acer has announced a powerful lineup of new laptop and desktop Windows 11 PCs, as well as peripherals engineered to elevate productivity, content creation, and gaming experiences.

Headlining the latest offerings is the new Predator Helios 18P AI laptop. It is built both for work and play for professionals who demand high-performance computing in a portable setup.

While many users have turned to gaming laptops for powerful graphics and performance, the Helios 18P AI goes further. It supports desktop-level AI computing, inferencing, and productivity.

The system features up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285HX with Intel vPro. It supports up to 192GB of EEC memory.

This processing power is complemented by dual 6th Gen AeroBlade metal fans, liquid metal thermal grease, and vector heat pipes.

The laptop also features up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU with DLSS 4. Other top-line technologies include up to 6TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD, Thunderbolt 5 Type-C, Killer Ethernet E5000B, and Wi-Fi 7.

In front is a large 18-inch 16:10 display. This Mini LED, 4K WQUXGA panel boasts of 1000 nits HDR mode and 100% DCI-P3, making it ideal for image generation, video editing, and even 3D rendering.

Predator Orion 7000

Launched alongside the Helios 18P AI is the Predator Orion 7000 desktop, Acer’s latest high-performance desktop.

Also built for gamers, content creators, and professionals, the desktop promises uncompromised power. It features up to an Intel Core 9 Ultra processor 285K with integrated NPU.

This CPU is paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics for ray-traced visuals and advanced AI capabilities such as DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation.

The Orion 7000 supports up to 128GB DDR5 RAM and 6TB SSD. It is equipped with Predator CycloneX 360 cooling system and a CPU liquid cooler.

Additionally, there is support for up to 4TB hard drive storage, as well as two 3.5-inch hard drives. Connectivity wise, the Orion 7000 also supports Killer Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7.

Predator Orion 5000

Meanwhile, the Predator Orion 5000 has up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 265F and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics.

The new offering is meant for gamers who look for lightning-fast frame rates, as well as users who need a level of responsiveness for seamless multitasking.

For its configuration, the Orion 5000 supports up to 128GB DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB SSD storage. It can also support up to 4TB hard drive storage via two 3.5-inch SATA drives.

New Predator monitor, keyboard

Completing the new Predator lineup are the Predator X27U F8 monitor and Predator Aethon 550 TKL keyboard.

The monitor delivers stellar gameplay on a 26.5-inch OLED IPS display with WQHD resolution and up to 720Hz refresh rate.

It can switch between WQHD 540Hz and 1280×720 at 720Hz, thanks to its Dynamic Frequency Resolution (DFR) technology.

In addition, the monitor has a 99% DCI-P3 and is VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

Meanwhile, the 80% TKL layout keyboard features tri-mode technology, allowing users to connect via wired, Bluetooth, or 2.4GHz connectivity.

The hot-swappable switches and interchangeable WASD keycaps offer tactile feedback and personalization to cater to tailored playstyles.

The keyboard also features per-key RGB lighting and an impressive battery life of up to 150 hours.

TCL was among the exhibitors at the recently-concluded IFA 2025 in Berlin, Germany, and its innovative FreshIN 3.0 fresh air conditioner was among the electronics giant’s proud highlights.

The smart AC was honored with the “AI Energy-saving Technology Gold Award” at the IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Awards. This is a testament to the product’s groundbreaking advancements.

Among the smart features on the FreshIN 3.0 are its Offline Voice Control, QuadruPuri Filters for a four-stage filtration process, and Intelligent Lifespan Reminder. The inverter AC also features a T-AI energy-saving technology, making it more economical for homeowners.

Aside from the TCL FreshIN 3.0 AC, some of TCL’s offerings that were present at IFA 2025 include the FreshIN C7, VoxIN voice-vontrolled AC, SaveIN, Free Match multi-split systems, and Unitary ACs.

Key updates

In terms of research and development, TCL has utilized AI in crafting its next-generation ACs. There are three major product lines: AI health, AI voice control, and AI energy-saving.

In addition, TCL has established 11 production bases in Zhongshan (Guangdong), Wuhan (Hubei), Jiujiang (Jiangxi), Nansha (Guangzhou), Indonesia, and Brazil. These contribute to an annual production capacity of over 38 million AC units.

Elsewhere, TCL announced back in August that freestyle skier Eileen Gu has been appointed global brand endorser.

The development makes her part of the company’s “Inspire Greatness” roster of athletes. It also aligns on a bigger scale with TCL’s sports collaborations.
