OPPO A17 now official in Singapore
Another all-around option
OPPO is introducing another all-around option for customers in Singapore with the release of the OPPO A17 in the island.
Although the upgrades from its predecessor aren’t mindblowing, it’s still fair to think of the A17 as a better version of the OPPO A16.
The smartphone is powered by a Helio G35 processor with a 4GB base RAM and 64GB RAM. It has a 6.56-inch display with up to a 60Hz refresh rate.
What’s great about the A17 is that it has an optional RAM expansion, giving users the choice for an extra RAM of up to 4GB which can be helpful in occasions where the phone requires some heavy lifting.
The device has a 5,000mAh battery and promises up to 20 hours of usage on a single charge. With Super Nighttime Standby, the phone reduces power consumption further to just 2 or 3 percent overnight with AI capabilities detecting sleep patterns.
Like any other phone in the segment, the A17 has a 50MP main camera. Although it only has a 2MP camera alongside it in the rear and a 5MP selfie camera.
Perhaps, the only thing unique about the entry-level phone is its IPX4 water resistance rating, able to withstand splashes.
Pricing, availability
The ultra-slim device with a flat-edged middle frame and smoothed edges will be available in Lake Blue and Midnight Black option at SG$ 229.
It can be bought on OPPO’s Lazada, Qoo10, Shopee, and TikTok official stores. It’s also available on authorized retailers and partner stores islandwide.

Sony is expanding its home entertainment push with a new range of BRAVIA Theatre audio products and the BRAVIA 3 II TV. The lineup aims to make a full cinema-style experience more accessible. That’s true whether you’re starting with a soundbar or building a complete surround setup.
Soundbars designed to fill the room
Leading the audio lineup is the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7, a compact yet powerful soundbar built with nine speaker units. It includes up-firing and side speakers.
