Acer Nitro 5 Spin is your next casual gaming laptop
Acer has a new gaming laptop in town, but this isn’t under their Predator gaming line. The Nitro 5 Spin is an entry-level gaming machine for casual players who don’t want to spend too much.
Borrowing the red elements of powerful gaming laptops, the Nitro 5 Spin is marketed as a gaming convertible (a first of its kind) that has enough power for your everyday titles while keeping its slim profile.

The convertible has a large 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display and a pair of front-facing speakers. It’s powered by the latest eighth-generation Intel processors (up to Core i7) with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. For storage, you can go up to a 512GB PCIe SSD.
Acer stated that this laptop is designed to handle popular gaming titles like Dota 2, League of Legends, and Overwatch. What’s interesting is the claimed 10 hours of battery life. This could put a new meaning to mobile gaming.
The Acer Nitro 5 Spin is due to go on sale in October with a starting price of just US$ 999 or EUR 1,199.
