CES 2018
Acer’s new Swift 7 is thinner than ever
Acer literally outdoing themselves
Tech is kicking off the year with CES 2018 and Acer outdid themselves by making their very own world’s thinnest laptop even thinner. The Acer Swift 7 comes from being 9.91mm to 8.98mm thick — if you can still call it that.

Being ultra-thin isn’t all this laptop has to offer. There’s a seventh-generation Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of PCle SSD storage. An interesting feature integrated into the newer Swift 7 is 4G LTE connectivity. Not only that but Acer is letting go of the gold and black aluminum matte exterior and keeping it sleek and simple this time with an all-black aluminum unibody chassis.
Other upgrades include a 14-inch Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen compared to the 13.3-inch non-touchscreen of the predecessor, a fresh new backlit keyboard, and a Windows Hello-compatible fingerprint reader.
All of which will cost an arm and a leg — maybe even more. It’ll go on sale soon with prices starting at US$ 1,699.
