Luxury Smart Home
LG’s Easel is a stylish TV for a stylish home
Available in August

One underrated aspect of smart homes is how devices look less and less conspicuous. Certainly, smart devices are way better if they meld seamlessly with your home’s interiors. Now, by far, the most obstinate example of this phenomenon is the transformation of TV sets into something less mechanical, such as in Samsung’s The Frame. Today, LG is launching its own interior-friendly TV, the Easel.
As part of its OLED Objet Collection, the Easel looks as it sounds. The device resembles an easel that you can set up in any living room. However, it’s not just a matter of looks. The device also comes with a movable fabric cover such as on an actual easel.
Controlled using the remote, the movable fabric cover can change how the device works. For example, engaging Line View will narrow the screen to a small slit. This mode works perfectly if you’re using the set as an audio player, a clock, or even just as set decoration.
Alternatively, using the device’s Full View will engage LG’s iconic OLED evo technology and 80W 4.2ch sound. Under the hood (or fabric?), the device sports the a9 Gen5 AI processor, merging hardware with software.
Naturally, the Easel does cost a pretty penny. Starting on August 1, users can purchase the device for SGD 9,999 through LG, Lazada, Shopee, and other authorized stores.

Of all the TVs Michael Josh has right now, the Samsung Neo QLED 4K QN90C is the best when it comes to brightness, color reproduction, wide viewing angles and even gaming.

What’s an elegant giant TV mounted on a wall when there are wires and cables that become an eyesore?
Well, LG’s 97-inch OLED TV M3 has an innovative new solution that will solve such aesthetic worry, so much so that the feature has won two honors at the CES 2023 Innovation Awards.
The TV’s wireless solution called Zero Connect technology allows users to transmit up to 4K 120Hz audiovisuals for a distraction-free setup.
The magic starts with the Zero Connect box which wirelessly transmits media onto the massive screen — latency-free.
This aptly complements the cutting-edge TV’s minimalist One Wall design so that it would blend effortlessly on any living room or interior décor.
Aside from that, the portable box comes with multiple ports for plugging in commonly used HDMI devices, such as cable/satellite set-top boxes and gaming consoles. It also connects wirelessly any compatible soundbar.
Should you opt for a more traditional “plug-and-play” approach without minding the look, the box also has ports for that.

With still a few days left before Christmas, there’s still time to sneak in some appliances for one’s household.
LG’s latest cordless vacuum cleaner series, the LG CordZero, is now available in the Philippines, providing all-in-one cleaning solutions for families.
There’s the CordZero A9 tower, a stick vacuum that charges, stores tools, and automatically empties the dust bin in a sleek docking station. Return the vac to the tower to recharge tools, and let Auto Empty clean out the dust bin.
The CordZero features Kompressor technology which doubles the capacity of the dust bin. Its Power Mop attachment is also perfect for tile, hardwood, and vinyl using just regular tap water.
All you have to do is control the amount of moisture (off, low, or high) while the dual spinning microfiber pads do the work.
Pricing, availability
The LG CordZero A9 will include two sets of washable pads and a removable water tank for easy filling and emptying.
The package gets a hefty discount this holiday season, selling for just PhP 51,920 (from 64,900) in stores like Abenson or Anson’s, or online via Lazada and Shopee.
