OPPO F11 Pro: Price and availability in the Philippines

Comes with a pop-up selfie camera

Published

on

OPPO’s newest midrange phone is officially in the Philippines. Less than a month ago, the OPPO F11 Pro was launched in India with a competitive price tag, so it’s no surprise that people in different markets have also been looking forward to its arrival.

One of the selling points of this handset is its capability to shoot sharp images even in low light. To achieve that, the dual rear cameras offer a 48-megapixel main shooter and a secondary 5-megapixel depth sensor to get that bokeh effect even at night. It merges four pixels into one, allowing more light to register and produce better overall night shots.

The selfie camera is no longer seen anywhere on its display. Instead, it now has a pop-up mechanism so it’s hidden from plain sight when not in use. Because of this, users will enjoy an unobstructed view of its 6.5-inch Full HD+ screen, boasting a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent.

Running the show is a Helio P70 processor which is an update from its predecessor’s P60. The 64GB storage option comes with 6GB RAM while battery is rated at 4000mAh. Sadly, it still carries a micro-USB port, but supports the company’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging tech which should top up your battery from zero to 100 in just 80 minutes.

There’s a fingerprint scanner on its back for an added layer of security and a Hyper Boost feature that gives a bump up in performance for everyday tasks.

The OPPO F11 Pro arrives in the Philippines for PhP 18,990 with pre-orders starting tomorrow, March 28. It’ll be available beginning April 6.

Redmi K30 could have a 120Hz display, 60MP camera

Another premium offering is on its way

The rumor mills are overclocking and suggest Redmi could have a surprise for all of us. At the Xiaomi Developer Conference (MIDC), Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the Redmi K30 5G will launch in December.

According to strings in MIUI 11’s code, Redmi K30 will reportedly feature a 120Hz display, a feature that has been limited to flagship phones for now. XDA-Developers has spotted the mention in MIUI 11 nightly builds of an upcoming Xiaomi smartphone codenamed “Phoenix”, which is tipped to debut as the Redmi K30.

The code also suggests it’ll have a dual-camera punch-hole cutout and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The final major feature spotted was confirmation that the device supports Sony’s IMX686 camera sensor

Redmi has successfully turned itself into a separate brand this year and they’ve been experimenting with new waters. Earlier, the brand was restricted to the affordable segment and had ancillary revenue sources like ads to offer aggressive pricing.

This slightly changed with the launch of the Redmi K20 series. Targeted as a premium offering, it came with midrange specifications and a competitive price. Realme has followed the same path with its recently launched Realme X2 Pro.

Similar to the Redmi K20, the soon-to-launch Redmi K30 is also expected to be powered by Snapdragon 700 processor. Details about the beefier Redmi K30 Pro are scarce at the moment but rumors indicate it could be powered by a flagship processor.
