OPPO R11s officially appears ahead of schedule
Just as the OPPO F5 officially launched in a grand event earlier today, its higher-end counterpart the R11s got discretely revealed by the company’s own website.
No one saw it coming: The incremental successor to the R11 that came out last June is now listed on OPPO’s official website, ahead of the planned unveiling on November 2.
Based on the renders we have here, the rear design of the R11s is nearly identical to the original R11’s, except for the relocated fingerprint scanner which had to be moved because of the thinner bezels in front.
And yes, it has the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio for its — you guessed it — 6-inch display. Practically every brand is adopting this format, and for good reason; reviewers and consumers alike believe this is the optimal size for most hands — spacious but narrow enough to reach the opposite end with one’s thumb.
This being an “s” model, bumps in specifications are expected to be minimal. A dual-camera setup on the rear hosting 20- and 16-megapixel sensors is back with optical zoom for creamier portraits. Although not confirmed yet, the same upper-midrange Snapdragon 660 chipset also seems to have made a return.
The other significant upgrade may be in the selfie camera, which makes use of the same AI technology first introduced by the OPPO F5. Memory and storage are apparently staying put at 4GB and 64GB, while champagne, black, and red are the current color options. Pricing and availability will be announced next week.
In case you’re wondering: Yes, this may be the same design for the upcoming OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 5 and OPPO R11 share bodies, so this wouldn’t be a surprise at all.

Insta360 is expanding its presence in the Philippines with the launch of the X4 Air. It’s a new ultralight 8K 360 camera designed for creators who want portability without losing image quality. The company says the X4 Air continues the X Series legacy of intuitive design and accessible 360 storytelling, now in a smaller and more travel-ready body.
Weighing only 165 grams, the X4 Air is the lightest 8K 360 camera Insta360 has released. It uses dual 1/1.8-inch sensors and updated image processing to capture sharper 8K detail with richer color. The camera is aimed at beginners, travelers, and anyone looking to explore 360 content creation for the first time.
Sharper imaging and smarter performance
Insta360 says the X4 Air improves on the X4 by focusing on real-world usability. AdaptiveTone and Active HDR work together to balance highlights and shadows, while Portrait Mode smooths skin tones naturally for people-focused shots. Updated low-light algorithms also deliver cleaner images after sunset.
The camera introduces user-replaceable lenses with a tougher optical coating that doubles drop resistance. It is waterproof up to 15 meters and includes FlowState Stabilization and 360° Horizon Lock for steady footage in any direction.
Compact build with flagship features
At 165 grams, the X4 Air is built to be carried anywhere. It stays light enough for one-handed use while still maintaining Insta360’s fifth-generation panoramic imaging technology. Despite its compact form, it shares the X5’s 8K 30 fps 360° video and replaceable lens system, and it supports most X5 accessories.
All-in-one creative tool
The X4 Air records in 360 degrees so creators can shoot first and reframe later. InstaFrame Mode saves both a share-ready flat video and a full 360° version at the same time. The camera also supports the Invisible Selfie Stick for drone-like shots, as well as smooth POV footage for daily vlogs.
Twist to Shoot, Gesture Control, and Voice Control let users start recording hands-free, making it easier to capture moments during solo shoots, group scenes, or sports runs.
Faster editing and seamless sharing
Editing is handled through Insta360’s AI-powered mobile app. Features like Auto Edit, FlashCut, and AI Frame automatically generate polished videos. The camera integrates with Apple, Garmin, and Huawei devices for performance overlays, while Insta360+ Cloud storage keeps files backed up. Every X4 Air purchase includes a one-year 200 GB cloud subscription for a limited time.
Pricing and availability
The Insta360 X4 Air is now available in Graphite Black and Arctic White from official offline and online retailers, including Shopee and Lazada. The Standard Bundle is priced at PhP 21,990. The Starter Bundle costs PhP 24,990 and includes a 114 cm Invisible Selfie Stick, Lens Cap, and an extra battery. Both bundles come with a complimentary one-year Insta360+ subscription for a limited time.
The company has expanded from seven to seventeen retail locations since June, adding stores in SM Dasmariñas, SM Lipa, SM Pampanga, SM Clark, Ayala Market!, Glorietta, SM Aura, Ayala Harbour Point, Marquee Mall, and SM La Union. Thirteen more branches are planned before the end of the year.

Samsung will reportedly delay Galaxy S26 launch to late February
The delay might be because of Galaxy AI.
January is always a month to remember because of Samsung. The smartphone brand usually launches the year’s Galaxy lineup. For example, the current Galaxy S25 series launched on January 22 this year. However, next year might be a different story. According to a new report, Samsung will hold its first Galaxy Unpacked event in late February.
Based on a report from the Korean outlet Money Today, Samsung is letting the Galaxy 26 series marinate a tiny bit more because of Galaxy AI. The brand is even hosting the event in San Francisco, the supposed center for AI technology.
The report also states that Samsung is evaluating its current lineup. This year, the brand launched the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, the new model’s sales have been reportedly lackluster, potentially prompting a return to the old model next year. The Galaxy S26 series might have the more traditional three-piece lineup consisting of the basic, the plus, and the ultra models.
Now, ahead of the new lineup’s launch, a lot of rumors are already going around about the Galaxy S26’s chipset. The brand is supposedly going all-in once again on Exynos. The upcoming Exynos 2600 can go up against Apple’s A19 Pro, if the reports are to be believed.

From OS to AI OS: HONOR announces MagicOS 10
World’s 1st AI agent operating system with self-evolving capabilities
HONOR has officially announced MagicOS 10 at its inaugural Global Developer Conference in Shenzhen, China.
MagicOS 10 is the world’s first AI agent operating system with self-evolving capabilities, signaling the industry’s shift from the OS era to the AI OS era.
In addition, HONOR also unveiled its 1×3×N ecosystem strategy alongside an upgraded HONOR AI Connect platform.
The framework opens HONOR’s AI stack to partners worldwide (the “1”), supports them with three enablement tracks — ecosystem, channel, and technology & brand (the “3”) — and scales across multiple industry clusters (the “N”).
These industries include education and office, smart home, audio and wearables, and even toys and pets.
From OS to AI OS
MagicOS 10 makes a multi‑dimensional leap from a conventional OS to a true AI OS. It pivots from basic device‑cloud coordination to an agent‑centric model, unlocking greater intelligence.
At the core of MagicOS 10 is a new and improved YOYO, now equipped with agentic capabilities to see, remember and execute, powered by HONOR’s proprietary MagicLM 3.0.
With one tap, users can ask YOYO to handle everyday tasks and creative workflows, such as AI‑powered color grading with Magic Color, complex command‑based image editing, and actions like food ordering, shopping, and ride‑hailing.
As multi‑device usage grows, MagicOS 10 is the first OS in the industry to fully break down platform boundaries. It enables seamless transfer of images, videos, and documents across HONOR, iOS, Android and Windows devices.
Moreover, OS also debuts the new Zero‑Gravity Transparency Design. This brings system‑wide transparent visual effects, from lock screen to desktop to in‑app views, with no increase in power consumption.
Additionally, the enhanced AI Deepfake Detection intelligently identifies fake voices, deepfake filters, and scam scripts to safeguard users.
HONOR AI Connect and 1×3×N Ecosystem Strategy
Launched in 2022, the HONOR Connect platform has already linked more than 30 million devices. At the conference, HONOR bared that t its upgrading tot he HONOR AI Connect platform, marking another leap.
HONOR AI Connect is built to lower partner onboarding barriers and reduce development costs. Developers can tap mature multimodal interaction capabilities (voice, vision, and more) without rebuilding complex base platforms, and access cross‑scenario AI collaborative services.
By systematically opening intelligent connectivity capabilities, the platform enables intelligence sharing, entry sharing, and ecosystem sharing.
HONOR has already partnered with more than 200 ecosystem partners and introduced a program that offers free IoT connectivity to deliver best‑in‑class value.
Through initiatives such as the HONOR Alpha Flagship Store and broader store access programs, HONOR provides more substantial resources and growth support to partners.
Looking ahead, HONOR remains committed to open collaboration. As part of its broad, long-term plan, the devices manufacturer is inviting global partners to co‑build the AI device ecosystem so intelligent technology benefits everyone.
