Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus unboxing

We have it. Both of “it,” actually. Just like last year, the Apple iPhone 7 comes in two sizes, with the standard version coming in at 4.7 inches and the bigger and more expensive Plus model sporting a 5.5-inch display.

The two are basically the same phone in different sizes, though the iPhone 7 Plus gains a huge advantage in picture-taking, and thus is better suited for aspiring and avid photographers.

The rest of the stuff, you’re probably already familiar with: They come in two new black finishes — shiny and matte; they’re officially toilet-proof for the first time; their faster inner components are contained in metal casings with bigger camera bumps and repositioned antenna lines. And for better or worse, they’re both missing a headphone jack.

But before we get to analyzing the X’s and O’s, we thought it would be nice to start with an unboxing clip. So here we are, with our first iPhone 7 video. Enjoy — and feel free to leave your questions in the comments below so we can answer them.

IPhones, as Apple fans — even the most zealous ones — will tell you, have the unfortunate reputation of having a short battery life. And while the new iPhone 7 should last at least an hour longer than its immediate predecessor, Apple still thinks users could use a bit of help getting through a full work day. (more…)
