In my quest to make my home more comfortable, I looked for cool devices at Computex 2019.
Even though I encountered beautiful, smart lights and sound systems, I realized I don’t need fancy stuff to be a good host. All I need is something that’ll make my friends and family enjoy their stay in the most comfortable way possible.
Here are three devices I found which would be perfect additions to any home:
Airyzone Fascination Camellias Diffuser
Airyzone’s Fascination Camellias Diffuser is an aromatherapy diffuser, humidifier, atomizer, and purifier in one. This big, blue egg-shaped device has a sensor that adjusts your environment to achieve your desired ambiance. It replenishes the moisture in the air and adjusts its humidity to keep it fresh. To make it more relaxing, it directly atomizes essentials oils without the need to ignite a fire.
Furthermore, this diffuser is a smart IoT device and comes with a beacon which works as a sensor. The device automatically stops if you leave your home and it detects you’re not within the vicinity anymore. When you get back, the diffuser turns on as soon as you step past your front door.
This works as long as the sensor and diffuser are connected via Wi-Fi. So smart, right?
YFAM Alexa Purifiers
Here comes Alexa. No, it’s not the Alexa you know. These are YFAM’s Alexa purifiers, portable air purifiers that you can bring wherever you go to ensure you have clean air around you. It decomposes virus and bacteria caused by PM2.5 air pollutants, tiny particles, or droplets in the air that can travel deep into your respiratory tract.
Unlike other air purifiers, this device has a low decibel design so you don’t have to worry about noise when you’re using it. In addition, it’s energy-saving since you only need to plug it in through USB-C to start it up, whether it’s directly from a wall adapter or through your power bank.
One more thing: This purifier has wearable and vehicle variants so you can enjoy clean air wherever you are.
Ambi Climate is the world’s first AI-powered air conditioner controller. It understands how multiple factors affect your comfort and efficiently adjusts your air conditioner automatically.
For example, I wouldn’t shiver from a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius inside my room. But if it’s raining outside, I’d put on my fur coat or jacket. Basically, Ambi Climate optimizes factors it analyzes such as indoor humidity, changes in weather, sunlight entering your room, and even the current time of the day. To put it simply, it learns what comfort means to you.
If you need to control your air-conditioner, Ambi Climate can be integrated with your smart speakers or built-in voice assistants. It works with the Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant platforms, as well as Apple’s Siri, Samsung’s Bixby, Microsoft’s Cortana, and more.
Summer Accessories for your iPhone
Spruce up your iPhone
During Computex 2019, we passed by along several booths that showcased mobile accessories. Held in Taipei, these brands caught our attention: Alto, n.max.n, and LeadTrend. They offer not just cases, but also accessories such as cable holders, cable ties, AirPods cases, and more.
Take a look at these products in the short video above.
Paperang S2 Portable Paper Printer
It prints more than texts and banners
Computex 2019 was full of products, from known brands all around the world, down to startups — which were all found at InnoVEX. We roamed around TWTC (Taipei World Trade Center) to find interesting startup products that would entice regular consumers and we found this portable device.
Paperang S2 is the second iteration of the device. Just like what they stand for, their products don’t use ink and instead rely on thermal printing and wear-resistant thermal paper. What’s improved is the 300dpi printing (in contrast to the S1’s less clear 200dpi). You can print your selfies, favorite photos, create simple texts and banners, and even add more designs before printing, all within the app.
Pantone accessories are here to complement your style!
We want ’em all!
Over the years, Pantone has grown as an authority and standard for colors. What was once a color guide for designers has become a part of contemporary culture. As people started identifying themselves through Pantone’s colored chips, manufacturers capitalized on this trend by incorporating Pantone into their products.
Through Pantone Universe licensing, manufacturers can apply Pantone’s branding and popular design. I’ve seen different applications, mostly on fashion and lifestyle accessories, but seeing it on computer peripherals and other electronics is a total treat.
Originally manufactured by DataPlus Supplies Inc., this Taiwanese company sells Pantone-licensed accessories that you’ll definitely buy to match your style.
For instance, they sell gaming accessories in different shades of blue. One of their best-looking is the teal-colored one, as it deviates from the usual blue and black combination used by gamers in their gaming setups.
You can also make a statement using these Pantone-colored USB fans and speakers when you’re traveling, especially in hot and humid countries. Fabulous, right?
For those who want to stay connected, stay away from the usual white and black power banks and get a Pantone-colored unit! There’s a rare chance of losing it compared to when you use a more generic power bank. And oh, they also have wireless chargers!
If you truly embrace Pantone’s branding, there’s a bag carrying the color guide’s popular design.
Lastly, there’s a whole line of computer accessories and electronics waiting for you. Pantone really found its way into our lives and yes, we want all of them!
