Christmas was the time for giving and splurging. For gamers, the season might have been the perfect time to start building a new PC. If you’re still in the middle of building your new rig, Dell has a new set of monitors to future-proof your gaming. At this year’s CES 2024, the brand is introducing its first 40-inch 5K monitor lineup.
At CES 2024, Dell has launched the new UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor. While most gamers today are already satisfied with a 4K monitor, the company is building on the future of display technology. Putting out images in 5K resolution (5120 x 2160), the new UltraSharp monitor will prove its use for designers and gamers alike.
Built with IPS Black Panel technology, the monitor specializes in amazing color contrast and detail. It will also up the lineup’s refresh rate to 120Hz from 60z. Further, to increase comfort, the monitor comes with a built-in ambient light sensor to automatically change brightness and color temperature, depending on your lighting conditions. It will also reduce blue light exposure to less than 35 percent, making comfort a priority for longer gaming and working sessions.
On a more technical aspect, the UltraSharp 40 sports Thunderbolt 4 for more power, touting up to 140W power delivery. It also has 2.5Gbps Ethernet support to boost image transmission.
If the UltraSharp 40 is too big, Dell has also launched the UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor. Though not as big as its sibling, the UltraSharp 34 still has almost the same features as the UltraSharp 40.
The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor will start shipping on February 27. It retails for US$ 2,399.99. Meanwhile, the UltraSharp 34 ships at the same time for US$ 1,399.99.
