Samsung Display at CES 2026: AI OLED Bot, future of cars, anti-glare, more
OLED innovations, various concepts at CES 2026
Samsung Display has unveiled a comprehensive lineup of OLED innovations at CES 2026, all designed for the AI Era.
With concepts and offerings like an AI OLED Bot, futuristic car displays, anti-glare and low-reflection panels, functional home display pieces, and more, these next-generation products illustrate how OLED can enrich AI-driven lifestyles across everyday applications.
There were various zones, and several real-world scenarios were presented with over 300 IT products, giving visitors a glimpse of how OLED technology can complement today’s world.
OLED-faced robot
At the AI Edge Vision Station, Samsung Display introduced a range of never-before-seen “Edge Device” concept models.
Dubbed the “AI OLED Bot”, these are equipped with 13.4-inch OLEDs as their faces. They are designed to freely move within designated spaces and communicate with users through AI.
Real-world applications include being a teaching assistant in a university setting, as well as guiding students to classrooms or providing essential information.
Using OLED allows the concept to be designed in curved, spherical, or circular forms, allowing greater freedom for manufacturers’ intent or preferences.
AI OLED for music: Mood Lamp, Cassette, Turntable
Meanwhile, Samsung also previewed several speaker-type AI assistant concepts that offer AI-based music recommendations.
Among these are the:
- AI OLED Mood Lamp with a 13.4-inch round OLED
- AI OLED Cassette with 1.5-inch round OLED
- AI OLED Turntable with 13.4-inch OLED
They are meant to one-up conventional Bluetooth speakers, allowing users to receive music recommendations, select content directly on the device, and even create interior moods with images and videos.
Moreover, they blend modern display technology with retro and analog designs for a unique aesthetic touch.
OLED for office, business, travel, more
Furthermore at a dedicated space at Samsung Display’s CES 2026 booth modeled after an architectural design office, attendees were able to witness the OLED’s distinct attributes, like color accuracy, deep blacks, high brightness, and wide viewing angles.
For business travelers, Samsung Display presented OLED solutions optimized for lightweight and slim AI laptops.
With UT One (Ultra Thin) technology, displays apply a glass substrate on the bottom and hybrid organic and inorganic thin films on top. These make the panel 30% thinner and lighter.
Combined with Oxide TFT technology for a variable refresh rate (1 to 120Hz), UT One reduces power consumption, thereby leaving extra juice for AI-related processing.
Samsung Display is also proposing scenarios where monitors and TVs serve as high-fidelity visual interfaces to AI-enabled systems.
QD-OLED monitor with low-power, Always-On-Display tech can function as wall clocks or digital art frames.
An AI OLED Mirror can even serve as a functional daily tool whilst being a unique piece for personal spaces.
There was even a Robot Basketball zone where 18 foldable OLED panels were mounted on a basketball backboard. These were tested for impact resistance by having a robotic arm repeatedly throw balls.
Automotive OLED displays were even tested for performance under extreme cold by being showcased inside a refrigerator. These mimic scenarios where vehicles are subjected to winter season’s harsh conditions.
Future of car interiors with Samsung OLED
A Digital Cockpit demo also showed visitors how autonomous vehicles can be equipped with advanced displays in various shapes and form factors.
There was an 18.1-inch “Flexible L” Center Information Display concept that connects seamlessly with the dashboard. Such form factor enhances both aesthetics and usability.
There was also a 13.8-inch Passenger Information Display that allows front-seat passengers to enjoy content. It can be hidden beneath the dashboard too.
Other highlights include a curved cluster with a 500R curvature, and a 30-inch Rear Seat Entertainment display with a 32:9 aspect ratio. This panel is mounted on the ceiling.
There was even an OLED tail lamp which combines a 34-inch wide display and an 8-inch display. This offers high visibility even in direct sunlight.
And aside from the usual turn-signal function, it can alert following vehicles with vital information, like traffic conditions, vehicle status, or accidents.
2026 QD-OLED TV model
Also on display for the first time was the 2026 QD-OLED TV model. This latest iteration features newly optimized organic materials and supports a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
QD-OLED achieves peak luminance by combining the maximum brightness of each RGB component.
The product demonstrates the potential for more vivid color reproduction and higher perceptual brightness. It is also compatible with AI-based picture quality optimization technologies.
