As November draws every so near, the next PlayStation generation is gearing up for a new era filled with blockbuster games. Among those already announced, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales headlines the pack. Now, as more details eke out, we’re learning more about the upcoming webslinger. As seen in new gameplay footage, Spider-Man will have a Spider-Cat in a backpack.

Yes, the bane of all bodega robbers will have a fierce feline friend right by his side… or rather, on his back. In new gameplay footage shared by Game Informer, Miles Morales will meet a bodega cat named Spider-Man.

At first glance, the orange cat plays a minor role through the game. Miles Morales assaults a warehouse of thugs who seemingly kidnapped the cat in question. Then, he returns the orange feline to his respective human at a bodega.

However, right near the end of the footage, Miles takes the cat out for a spin in his backpack. This time, Spider-Cat is donning a Spider-Man mask of his own. As the footage ends, Spider-Man unleashes Spider-Cat towards an enemy (which the cute kitty presumably slices and dices with his claws).

Now, I don’t know about you, but Spider-Cat is the cutest thing ever. Spider-Man: Miles Morales just got a lot better. The upcoming PlayStation game will launch on November 12, 2020 for both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.

Concept Nyx: Dell working on intelligent game controller

The future of gaming

Dell Concept Nyx

Dell Technologies is working on an all-in-one intelligent game controller that shall interconnect devices and screens while providing a whole different level of gaming experience.

Called the Concept Nyx game controller, Dell’s project aims to provide easy access to gaming libraries across multiple devices and screens for effortless sessions at home.

Here’s what we know so far about Concept Nyx:

To kick things off, the design-making process took lots of turns. Developers explored adding tons of buttons, attachments, sensors, and more.

This has led to the potential final design that gives users personalized settings at their fingertips. It’s composed of the following parts:

  • Dual thumb control wheels
  • Light ring
  • Adaptive thumbstick
  • Omnipad
  • Left and right scroll bumpers
  • Fingerprint sensor in the middle
  • Left and right adaptive triggers (underneath)
  • Shift buttons (underneath)

The fingerprint reader detects who is using the controller specifically, to be able to load their games right where they left off instantly.

Dell also prioritized the device’s haptics. They come with self-adjusting variable resistance thumbsticks that can be tailored to user preferences and specific game play.

PC gaming musts have also been included in the concept. Shift buttons underneath the controller allow for more front button options, mimicking the shift combos from PC keyboards.

The innovative scroll wheels give users an easier time to navigate and select weapons, while the intelligent touchpad allows for instant access to customizable controls in-game, without having to toggle a menu screen which disrupts your real-time gaming view.

The era of tug-of-wars at home may soon be over as well. The Concept Nyx controller is being designed to accommodate simultaneous gaming.

For instance, while connected on two different headsets, two separate Concept Nyx controllers may be used to play two different games on a split screen.

Streaming to other devices and screens and wi-fi connectivity are also some of the capabilities of the controller by simply pulling the thumbstick.

All these factors have been the foundation for the development of the Concept Nyx’s intelligent edge ecosystem beyond gaming.

Coming soon for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam, the WWE 2K23 Deluxe and Icon Editions will arrive on March 14 via Early Access, while the Standard Edition and Cross-Gen will be available on March 17.

Bad Bunny, one of last year’s most streamed artists globally, will also be making his WWE 2K debut with a Bad Bunny Bonus Pack.

This year’s installment of the flagship WWE video game franchise will feature several advancements, including a new take on the 2K Showcase, the introduction of WarGames, and expansions to several game modes.

The deep roster of WWE superstars and legends is headlined by the likes of Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and more.

While waiting for its release, let’s dissect what’s new from WWE 2K23 one by one.

2K Showcase starring John Cena

In a brand-new twist on 2K Showcase, players will have the chance to step into the boots of several of Cena’s toughest competitors throughout his 20-year career – and try to beat Cena himself.

This interactive documentary within the title uses 2K’s unique slingshot tech for a seamless transition from gameplay to live-action footage, narrated by Cena himself.

WarGames makes debut

A fan-favorite, the chaotic and action-packed WarGames will make its debut on WWE 2K23.

This will offer heart-pounding 3-versus-3 and 4-versus-4 single or multiplayer mayhem inside two side-by-side rings surrounded by a double-steel cage

MyGM: Be the boss

For this year, MyGM is going to feature more GMs to choose from. Players may also create their custom GM.

There will also be additional show options, multiple seasons, expanded match cards, and more match types for up to four players.

It will all up to players to draft rosters, manage budgets, sign free agents, choose various match types, arena locations, and more, managing everything while trying to beat rival GMs in weekly battles.

MyFACTION: Online multiplayer action

This online multiplayer team-building mode will let players collect, manage, and upgrade an array of WWE superstars and legends to create their ultimate four-person factions.

Players can now take their faction online and compete for global dominance, or compete in Weekly Towers and Faction Wars.

Themed card packs and goals roll out regularly throughout the year, too.

MyRISE: Immortalize your name

In this game mode, aspiring WWE superstars shape their career as they vie for their WWE debut.

Featuring distinct men’s and women’s division storylines and the ability to import custom created superstars, players journey from Rookie all the way to WWE Legend.

Creation Suite
